“Great hotel with special rooms”
Reviewed 24 August 2012

A wonderful hotel with very friendly staff. All of them speak English, which is special for Paris. We had the Tour Eiffel-Room, which is wonderfull. You have a big photo picture on the wall with the view of Paris as if you were standing on top of the Eiffel Tower. The bathroom is special too. We had a bathtub with whirlpool inside. So after a whole day on your feet exploring the wonderful city of Paris you can enjoy a relaxing bath in the whirlpool. You can adjust the light as well, so you can absolutely unwind. Of course is the room especially recommended for couples.
We will come again!

Great room. Not small as many other Parisian hotels are. However, location is not great. That's probably why the rooms can be bigger. You will take the metro to everything. Not so nice for romance in this way...

Otherwise, service & hotel were great. Jacuzzi was excellent!

If you are hoping for a Romantic get away, Paris is definitely the place! To celebrate our ten year anniversary my husband booked the hotel on the basis of its fantastic reviews on trip advisor.

For us it was not the ideal hotel although on several accounts it was also amazing. So just to the point we were not impressed with the area the hotel is located. As we entered the foyer it was covered in wallpaper and lacked that french charm, I felt it was more like walking into a fancy modern bar. We were greeted very nicely, and one cannot fault the staff, they were professional and friendly. They explained to us how the hotel works in as each room is themed to a monument in Paris and its ones opportunity to sleep in them... I lovely idea we felt...

The rooms however did slightly disappoint, the small Mouline Rouge was verging on the cheesy and with all the fab technology it had unfortunately the radio did not work and the tv only had 4 channels! I loved the see-thru glass doors but I guess it works for us being together for so long.

We were offered to change room the following night and we slept int he Trocadero room I felt this was a much nicer room however still did not quite do it.

I do want to stress that the staff were fabulous and they did make it a much nicer stay...

So if you are looking for a taste of Paris I dont think this is for you, but if you do love all the modern technology, fancy lighting and multi-coloured jacuzzi then you have got the right place!

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a jacuzzi bath some only have a shower.

We had the Moulin Rouge room which was quite nicely done up in line with the theme. It was small but manageable.

Downside was the semi-seethrough bathroom/toilet door. I can imagine it's slightly embarrassing if it's one of your first weekends together, to not have a real door between the toilet and bedroom.

Two metro stops are within walking distance. If you go by taxi and the driver doesn't know the very small Rue de Parme, just direct them to Rue de Clichy nr 60.. Right on the corner of the hotel..

Too bad Paris hotels are pricey, but in all this was a nice stay in a not-huge-chain hotel. And free wifi..

The hotel is tiny yet wonderful. The staff spoke perfect English and always helped us, even when we required medical assistance in the middle of the night. The room service system works very well and the food was excellent. Breakfast was simple yet enjoyable. The themed rooms were great and the bed was very comfortable and the television/DVD was also good yet there was a surprising lack of English channels which was a shame- to wind down in the evenings, bring some DVDs to enjoy. The room and bathroom overall were quite small which was to be expected in Paris yet the space is excellently managed and my goodness the bathroom was quite something! There's not a shower- only a shower over a corner bath which could be problematic for a disabled person however the bath was wonderful ,it was a Jacuzzi bath and changed colour - we were quite taken with it and it was perfect in the evenings after a long day of exploring the city! There were many places to go to in the evenings also- the city never sleeps! Soundproofing was excellent too. Overall we would definitely return it was great- thank you very much!

We stayed four nights at the Secret de Paris. It was everything I had hoped for . . . and more. We most appreciated the English-speaking hotel employees who went out of their way to remember our names and quickly accomodate all requests. For example, they were happy to provide power adapters for US appliances. We asked for directions to somewhere to buy bubble-wrap for packing, and instead, were provided with some quickly. The rooms are small, but contained everything we needed. The ultra-modern amenities included very specific lighting options, a fridge, safe, and state-of-the-art shower with multiple shower heads. The location turned out to be quiet, close to the metro station (about 5 minute walk or less), surrounded by shopping, restaurants, and especially the fresh fruit/veggie shops and bakeries! The staff went out of their way to make car arrangements for our return to the airport. Upon our return to the US, we received an e-mail notifying us of an item we had left in the room. We would definitely stay here again! I forgot to say that the rooms were very quiet with good mattresses!

Room Tip: Stayed in Eiffel Tower room. Nice touch.

Never staying in a 'Boutique' hotel before we really didn't have any true expectations. My wife and I really enjoy a 5 Star experience with all the perks that go along with it - our 1st time trip to Paris was every bit that in this very unique property. We thought the location was perfect - not touristy and not far from any of the main attractions or local cafe's, restaurants and one of the nicest wine stores just across the street. Oh! by the way have you heard how great the staff are? We were greeted by Julia and offered complimentary drinks to relax from our long journey from Abu Dhabi - what a nice touch. As we went to our room I was a little apprehensive - you know the small room and all - yes it was small, but one of the best designed accommodations that we have ever seen. Everything was done well! Getting past the small room we were blown away with the relaxing atmosphere, ambience, class and OH! did I mention the staff? Can not say enough about the quality of service and friendliness!!! We had an exceptional experience one of our nights there that blew us away - a recommended restaurant only a few minutes away - streets go in every direction, so if you are directionally challenged as we are - you can't beat this - Julia walked us to the restaurant and introduced us to the owner. Superb!!! Amazing time in Paris!
Thank You

Room Tip: Our room was #15 on the 1st floor and was very quite even right over the busy street. I think I mig...
