“2 night stay in Musee d'Orsay room”
Reviewed 25 November 2012

We stayed here on the last 2 nights of our time in Paris, in the Musee D'Orsay room. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was larger than I expected, after reading reviews on the tiny room sizes, the bathroom was amazing (hydrojet bath! - only issue was a design flaw in that the tiny glass panel to stop the water going everywhere when you shower, wasn't really wide enough to stop it doing so, hence we had to use quite a few hand towels to mop up water on the bathroom floor) Bed was comfortable, Tv was great, had room service one night and that was good too. Can't fault it.
Location was easy - walked to everywhere in Montmartre, 2 Metro stations within a 5minute walk, walkable down to Saint Lazarre station and Galeries Lafayette.
Staff are friendly and helpful
We enjoyed our stay at Secret de Paris!

It was our pleasure to welcome you under the monumental clock of the Orsay Museum!
I am thrilled that the size of your room exceeded your expectation and how wonderful that you enjoyed your hydro-massage bathtub so much.

I will certainly pass on your nice comment to the team!

Kind regards,
Caroline Canny

I stayed here last year for 2 nights and thought it was absolutely fantastic. We had a Moulin Rouge room and it was amazing. They are a fair size with enormous beds and amazing features and its only a 15minute walk to the Seine where you can buy a boat ticket that takes you to all the sites. The hotel is up a slight hill but we quite enjoyed the walks and the staff were extremely helpful. The hotel has a great atmosphere to it and i would thoroughly recommend it!

My wife and me spent four days in this hotel back in August for our anniversary and loved it. We choose the Eiffel Tower room for the first two nights and then they let us try the Moulin Rouge room for the second two. The rooms aren't huge but they what they lack in size they make up in style and stylish they are. The hotel itself is in a good location near Montmatre and Place de Clichy metro and walking distance to Moulin Rouge. The staff were very helpful and called restaurants to book tables for us and recommended a few too, although we generally found our own. Two we would recommend are the Le Relais de la Butte which has a great outside area with a good view over the city and generally good for people watching. The food and wine were reasonable and the service friendly. The other is Chez Plumeau, but only if you can brave the stairs but the climb is worth it as the food was great and the setting excellent. All in all the hotel was clean and tidy and the staff helpful. The rooms are small but amazing and who stays in their hotel when you are in Paris anyway! Don't eat or drink in the Place de Clichy, it's extortionate, find a little side street or cafe, that's whar Paris is all about!

Room Tip: Ask at reception to see is you can try a different room, it's worth it.

The location is great. If you have been to paris before and have toured the city center I highly recommend staying in montmare. It is a short metro to anywhere and has a unique atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and there is a ton to explore. The hotel was very clean, has a great breakfast and everyone that works there is very nice and helpful. The rooms are modern and have all the amenities we Americams are used to (hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, tv, etc ). The rooms are small but it's Paris! There isn't the space and you should be out experiencing the city rather than couped up in your room. :)

Spent 4 nights in this hotel in the Artiste room (top floor). Room was quite big compared to most hotel rooms and the beds were very comfortable. The only note I would make is that this hotel is probably best suited for couples as the bathroom is made of glass (half frosted only) so there isn't much privacy. Otherwise staff are quite knowledgeable and the location is great - 10 minutes walk to Galeries Lafayette and Opera and 4 mins walk to 2 metro stations.

We spent three nights at this hotel in October. We stayed at Moulin Rouge room. The room was not large but sufficient for a couple. It seems hotel has been newly remodeled as room seemed brand new as if the hotel was just built. This was very important to us, as it is really easy to go wrong with a hotel in Paris and end up in a dump.
Location was just fine, about 5-10 minutes walk to Opera house, Printemp, Galleries Lafayette.
Or a 2-3 minute walk to a Metro station connecting you to the entire city.
I don't know about other kinds of rooms, the one we stayed in is only good for couples or a solo traveler. Decor is nice but a bit strange. Example, there is a see through wall between the room and the bathroom, I am not used to my fife looking at me while I am going to the bathroom. And that completely disqualifies this hotel if I want to take my daughter to Paris one day.
Hotel offered free WiFi in the room and lobby, that is nice.
Overall we were happy with the hotel and will stay there again if we go just as a couple.
Hotel offers breakfast for about 18 Euro per person, we didn't bother as there are plenty of places to eat in the area.

I stayed at this hotel in February for my 21st Birthday with a couple of my friends and we had a fabulous time! We stayed in the Eiffel Tower Bedroom which was lovely, modern and had nice little touches like the free tropicana and water in the fridge. I wouldn't recommend the room for new couples as the bathroom is made of glass so it isn't very private but we loved it/the modern theme generally. The reception staff were helpful and friendly with booking taxi's, recommending restaurants etc. The breakfast was average but of good standard for a typical continental breakfast.

The location of the hotel was great, a 5 minute walk from a metro station and just a couple of stops from the champs elysee and other sights. It is also only a 10/15 walk to Montmarte, we had a wander down some of the many little streets opposite the hotel and came across Montmarte by accident, it is lovely with lots of little pattiseri's and cafe's.

Overall an excellent stay I would definitely recommend this unique hotel for an unforgettable trip!
