We stopped here for 2 nights as part of a tour of France. We took a taxi from the Gare du Nord and were welcomed in at reception by 2 very friendly and helpful ladies at the front desk. They explained the concept of the hotel and helped with baggage up to the room. We had chosen the discovery package so our room was a mystery! We stopped in the Musee d'Orsay room on the first night which was beautiful. Modern and contemporary, it had a fabulous bathroom with jacuzzi bath. There were some nice touches, like different light settings and complementary drinks. However, don't be shy as the bathroom door is a little see through! The second night we stayed in the Moulin Rouge room which again was lovely, very red! This room didn't have a bath but a great 'rain' shower. The staff in the hotel were really helpful throughout our stay, they booked restaurants for us, a guided tour of the eiffel tower (which I would highly recommend- very enjoyable and informative), taxis and giving us directions. Nothing was too much bother. Hotel is not too far from Montmatre, we walked to the Moulin Rouge and the Sacre Cour. Didn't stop for breakfast at the hotel, we found a place nearby that did croissants so that sorted us out fine! Would definitely stay here again, thanks for a wonderful time.

My wife and I spent four nights at the hotel as the last stop on our honeymoon.

From the outside, the hotel is really anonymous. If the taxi driver had pointed us directly at it, we would have passed it. But once we were inside, we experienced a very complete romantic design with glimpses and tales of Paris' famous buildings in the lobby, the staircases and so on.

The rooms are very well decorated, and have a very high standard. Our room had some issues with the A/C and/or the minibar refridgerator. So the first couple of nights were extremely hot. But they were accommodating and fixed it within 24h. In the meantime they placed a big fan in our room.

The breakfast was tastefull, allthough not much variation. It contained enough to vary so breakfast never became dull and repetitive.

We didn't use the sauna and fitness area, but did order both the romantic package and a massage later on. The romantic package was a perfect surprise that overwhelmed my wife. Flower petals, champagne and a surprise box for some fun later made an impression. Well worth the money. The massage took place in a room next to the lobby, which was a bit uncomfotable. The noise from the lobby, and the fear that someone suddenly opened the door by a mistake was with me the whole time. But the masseuses were very professional and gave us a very good experience anyhow. I actually think it was the best massage I've had.

Beyond that, the staff was helpfull and accommodating at all times, even before we came and after we left. If I only knew at the time, I would have asked for more of their expertise during our stay than we did.

The entire hotel show an interesting interior design with each rooms designed to resemble a famous city spot, like Moulin Rouge, Opera and Tour Eiffel. The rooms are narrow but really comfortable and with some additional services, like jacuzzi hot tub. The staff was really professional and friendly. Even if not in the city center, the hotel has a good position near metro station. Moulin Rouge itsels is at 10 minute walking distance. The breakfast is little expensive, but this is not unusual in Paris.

A lovely hotel in a great location.
Walking distance to almost anywhere you could want to go. Close to a metro station if you don't fancy walking.

Hotel was pristine and the staff are second to none.
A choice of themed rooms. close to some great restaurants.

A great hotel and of course a great city.

My husband and I stayed at the Design Secret hotel in March of this year. The room was phenomenal! The property owners have gone to all the extra (and costly) steps usually forgone by hotels: sound proof windows that allow an entirely quiet room even if overlooking the busy street, seemingly sound proof walls that make you feel alone in the hotel because you can't hear the neighbors, curtains that close completely to allow for jet-lagged travelers to make the room dark and get some rest, the list goes on and on! And while the room itself was superb, the real award goes to the staff who kept both the room and the whole hotel sparkling clean, warm, and inviting. Every member of the staff was not just friendly, but went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Stay at this hotel. Favorite_Place_Ever!
