Just returned from a 3 night visit to Paris. We chose the Secret de Paris based on what it looked like on their web site and TA reviews.

When we arrived we were greeted by the reception team and invited into the breakfast area for a drink whilst our bags were taken up to our room. We were taken to our room and had everything explained to us. The lighting, TV, DVD, shower functions, steam room, sauna....

Yes the room is quite small, but they all are in Paris. We stayed in a Moulin Rouge room which we thought was great. The red lighting was quite dark but you could have brighter whiter lighting if you wanted. We were told we could have a different room each night if available, which we thought was really nice, but we stayed put. Very good double glazing. We couldn't hear the street from our bedroom.

Each day I asked for the sauna and steam room to be turned on and within half an hour they were ready. They are small but functional. The gym equipment looked quite professional.

Breakfast was basic but nice. The usual cold buffet plus a choice of eggs scrambled, omelette.....

The Hotel was very clean. Our room was spotless each day when we returned. Overall the service and the staff were very good.

This needs to be kept a secret indeed ! This hotel is extraordinary from it decor through to it customer service it is with out doubt the best hotel we stayed at in Europe. From entering the Hotel we were welcomed by the warm staff at the door. They offered to show us all the rooms they had avaliable so that we could choose. We looked at all the rooms yes for american or australian standards some are a little small but this is Paris and you expect smaller rooms. The fit out and decor of each room is spectacular. Beds very comfortable.
The Hotel is located in what taxi drivers and locals describe as a very "Parisian" area , it is a 5 minute walk to a train and has a bus stop a minute away. No it is not next to the Eiffel Tower or other monuments..... this is real Paris ! Stay here you will not be disappointed ! But please don't tell anyone lets keep it just to ourselves !

We were lucky enough to get a booking for this hotel while in Bordeaux only a few days before arriving in Paris and what a gem it is! The staff and the hotel are lovely. Other reviews already detail the various room themes available.

Yes the rooms are quite small depending on which one you get however you do get the opportunity to try a new room each day if you so wish (and if they are available). Breakfast was wonderful and the staff spoke English and were helpful on all number of matters.

It is on the expensive side, but given what you get I thought it was value for money. While it is not central to some parts of Paris it is a two minute walk into Montmarte, the Moulin Rouge and two metro stops.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and I hope they keep up the good work - it's not a 5 star hotel but if you're after a good stay in a charming hotel then certainly give it a try.

Very difficult to fault. Location great, very easy access to Metro (which you must use...very cheap, quick & convenient). Staff very friendly. Rooms small (as always in Paris) but decor great, very quiet and very comfortable.

We stayed at the Secret de Paris for 3 nights in October for a romantic break. The hotel is in an execellent location, a few minutes walk from a metro station and an abundance of restaurants. The hotel room was quirky and very clean. It was a little small but well appointed so it wasn't really a problem. We stayed in the Eiffel Tower room which didn't have a bath as advertised on expedia which was a litlle dissapointing but I suppose not the fault of the hotel! My only other gripe would be that there was no kettle in the room so to have a hot drink you need to call room service. As mentioned by others the lighting in the rooms is a real feature. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall we thought this was a brilliant hotel and we would definately stay here again if in Paris.Highly recommended.

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Paris. We stayed at Hotel Secret which was amazing. The service from the front desk (Raphael) was beyond expectations. They were friendly, helpful and incredibly accomodating. The rooms were well appointed and very quiet. The breakfast service was perfect. The best Croissants I have ever tasted.
We will stay here for sure on our next visit. We highly recommend you stay here.
