I rented a lovely studio in that building last winter (I think the owner also has larger units in the building). Clean, freshly renovated with a full kitchen and bathroom. It offered all useful amenities (from basic fridge, TV, to dishwasher, washing-machine or even express machine etc). Most of furniture is brand new, with some nice personal touches. The bed was particularly comfortable, which was a pleasant surprise.
On other aspects, the booking process went smoothly, through the website
www.quai-montebello.fr you have direct contact with the owner.
Also, the owner was very helpful upon arrival. After showing us around, he offered a quick tour of the neighborhood, showing us his favorite shops and restaurants, and providing a "home-made" map of the area with selected places. That's the kind of reasons it's so much better to rent an apartment rather than staying in a hotel!
The area is very central, with many historical attractions just nearby. The métro (subway) is accessible by foot, with a few lines passing just there. You won't need a car. There's also a Batobus stop just in front of the building (you can travel in Paris using a 1-day boat pass, just fantastic !)
It's also very safe (the building is particularly safe, you have to get through 3 doors to access the apartment. There is also a lift, which was really helpful with the luggage - very important point when selecting an apartment in Paris, since few building seem to have one).
I really recommend that place, and hope to go back there very soon!
