“Step into the 1800's Paris shopping experience!”
Reviewed 31 January 2014 via mobile

For all history buffs! Here is an opportunity to walk through a covered passageway still standing from the 1800's Paris, fascinating! There are little shops on both sides of the passageways:) with very friendly shopkeepers! A unique experience-At the far end of one passage is Hotel Chopin! You really must find this area because you will really feel transported to the past and into a dream!

“Tasty panorama”
Reviewed 15 January 2014 via mobile

For all food lovers, passage des panorama will offer you a great choice of authentic French restaurants in addition to an indian/Pakistani restaurant and a Moroccan one . You barely can resist the gourmet smell when you pass by it. Amazing experience and very good food.

“Magical medieval passage way.”
Reviewed 5 November 2013

This place isn't in any guide books. I assume people are so used to it that they dont think to include it - it is around for centuries & totally untouched. Basically an early form of shopping mall where the government covered over a stretch of laneways wtih glass on the top floor, joining buildings on either side & creating a road for people to walk at their leisure uninterupted by rain or bad weather.
If you are interested in frence history & culture - and let's face it, most of us travelling to Paris are, then you'll love this long laneway to walk through. It has some lovely organic/local restaurants, specialty shops (think stamp collections or old antique toys) & even an old hotel that has it's fronting from the 18th century.
If you walk in at the Racines restaurant side, thats the north entrance where all the cafes are - you'll have the best steak tartare in Paris at a tiny cafe that looks shabby. Its the first cafe you come to on the left (4 doors before Racine restaurant). only 4 small tables outside & doesnt look like much, but it was the best food we had in all the restaurants in the passage way! Perfect lunch on a rainy day. Most of the restaurants in there are closed Sunday.

“More worn than other passages”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

Panoramas is larger than the other nearby Jouffroy and Verdeau but is not as nice. Panoramas seems to have migrated more toward restaurants and you will find a lot of locals there which is a good indication of decent food. About half of the passage is vacant storefronts and has suffered the fate of other older "malls". Still the authenticity makes it a fun visit to be combined with the other passages couverts!

“OK but not worth a detour.”
Reviewed 26 June 2013

If you happen to be in the area, by all means have a look. Will give you a break from all the noise in the neighbouring streets.
A few specialty shops (e.g. old stamd, letters and coins).
