Owner description: The precursor to Parisian shopping malls, the Passage des Panoramas is Paris' first covered walkway. With its mix of artisan shops and old-school eateries, it's a great spot to soak in French culture.

If you are in the area or have already done all the big Paris sights, this is worth a look. But shouldn't be a priority.

The architecture is more of a draw than the shops themselves, but we enjoyed window shopping (shops were quite expensive). Lots of stamp shops.

I recommend that one should visit as many of the covered passages as possible. Each one his its own character and they all capture the quintessential public space in Paris in the early 18th Century. Panoramas has some interesting shops and places to eat and drink, plus some curious architecture.

Went there by chance then started wandering in those little covered passages. They are somewhat the ancestors of the big malls we know, created to have better shopping experience jn the 1800s you can now have a good lunch or find rare stamps and postcards.

Very good sized covered passage with many restaurants and shops. Several art shops that didn't impress - well they didn't impress me. The restaurants were all very busy. Folks getting out of the direct July heat. Walked from Panorama to Jouffroy just across the road.

My daughter and I were in Paris on a rainy evening and looked up things to do. We saw the Passages listed and took the metro there. There are a few shops and restaurants. It is not particularly fun or interesting. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here while in Paris.
