This area is filled with restaurants, little parcs and gardens and many things to see and do. There are shops that will empty your pockets and there are those where you will find a bargain. You could spend a week wandering through this area of Paris. But then again, couldn't you do that with all of Paris.

Paris has a lot of really great neighborhoods, but the 7th is really hard to beat. It has a wonderful assortment of shops and restaurants. It's really safe, and its location is impossible to beat. Several major sights (like the Eiffel Tower) are within walking distance.

I stayed in rented apartment at 7 arrondissement in November 2013. It's great and safe neighborhood surrounded by cafés and restaurant and I went to Eiffel, Napoleon Tomb, Invalides, Musee Rodin, Alexander Port, Jardin du trocadero, Champs de Mars, Ecole Militaire, Grand Palais, Petit Palais. La Seine River are within Walks! I even went to Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe by walked :)

My husband and I stayed in the 7th Arrdondissement during our trip to Paris September 2013. This truly is the best neighborhood to stay in. We rented an apartment on a quiet side street and we were close to everything. Rue Cler was two blocks away, both the metro and RER were less than a five minute walk and there were many cafes, bars, bakeries and shops just steps away from the apartment. This is our third trip to Paris and our first renting an apartment and staying in the 7th, we will definitely stay there again.

This is our second visit to Paris and we loved staying in this area! On our first stay we were in the Champs Élysées which was nice, but far removed from much of what we ended up doing. This time we wanted to be in the centre of the activity and the Latin quarter is definitely it! Lots of activity, restaurants, etc. unless you want a big hotel (you can only find smaller boutique hotels here) this is a wonderful area to stay. Definitely where we would come back to stay again.
