My last visit to Musee Rodin was in winter which was a totally different experience. Springtime at Musee Rodin is the best. The gardens are filled with beautiful flowers, fountains and perfect lawns. There is always something being renovated here and this time it was the house so you could only go into part of it. The gardens with the sculptures are really why this is special.

I really liked the collection in this museum, which is both numerous and varied. I'd definitely recommend the audio-guide, which, along with explanations on specific pieces, gives an overall picture of the life and times of Rodin. I feel like I've really understood the artist, the angst and the joys of his life : ).

Spring weather in Europe this year has been a great disappointmet ,but on this day in early June ,the sun shone !The roses were in bloom and the air was filled with their perfume .
We have visited the sculpture gardens and house ,many times .This time ,due to renovations ,many sculptures were in one room and that made it easy to enjoy .
.
We had a lovely lunch in the open air restaurant .
Such an experience !

Go for the garden when it is sunny, excellent coffee place and you can also visit it apart from the main museum, for only one euro

The Musee Rodin is a special place...the works of Auguste Rodin and others situated in and around the house and the gardens where he lived are truly amazing. As you stand before The Gates of Hell (inspired by Dante's Inferno) you are in awe of Rodin's ability to create such a work of art. Along with the Gates of Hell, The Trois Ombres, The Thinker, the Creation of Adam and my favorite The Kiss are some of the true treasures in the art world. A unique aspect of the garden area where the Gates of Hell is located is the sound of wind moving through the trees which is a recording made specifcally for the site. And one of the roses in the garden had the most fantastic aroma I ever experienced. The Musee Rodin is one of my favorite museums in Paris.
