Owner description: This beautiful museum, once a railroad station, now houses a staggering collection of Impressionist art, as well as other items created between 1848 and 1914. In 2011, the museum is running a renovation of the top floor (impressionist gallery). Only ground and medium floor are accessible. The top floor will re-open on the 20th of October. Meanwhile, some impressionist masterpieces are not visible.

“Better than the Louvre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2013

Do not miss this gem. It is beautiful and not as crowded as the Louvre. Then grab a sandwich at the shop around the corner and have a little picnic on the steps by the Seine.

“A Wonderful Museum”

This is a very calm experience especially if you visited the Louve the day before. You can truly spend time with the art and enjoy the works.

“Splendid!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2013 via mobile

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We came by Eurostar for a long weekend and got 2 for 1 entry showing our Eurostar tickets. Good value for half a day of art. We tried the restaurant by the clock (can't remember the name) and found the prices to be rather high, we had the cheapest pasta on the menu. I would go again next time I pop over to Paris.

“Impressionists”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2013

Loved this museum! They have the best Impressionist paintings and pretty decorative arts pieces from the 19th Century. It is a must see while in Paris! The lines are long in the summer time so plan on getting a Paris Pass before you go so that you can by-pass the long lines!
