Owner description: This beautiful museum, once a railroad station, now houses a staggering collection of Impressionist art, as well as other items created between 1848 and 1914. In 2011, the museum is running a renovation of the top floor (impressionist gallery). Only ground and medium floor are accessible. The top floor will re-open on the 20th of October. Meanwhile, some impressionist masterpieces are not visible.

I purchased my ticket online about an hour before I went to the museum. I went to entrance C and walked straight in. The only delay was the guest in front of me that seemed to walk in slow motion! The other line was quite long.

The museum is lovely, it's a converted railway station - the building itself is a work of art. Not all of the artwork is to my taste, but that's likely the same for everyone. The Van Gogh exhibition makes the trip worthwhile, plus some other artworks. It's nice to just wander around at your own pace.

Thank Jes M

One of the best museums to visit. No too big and very diverse contents. The arts are presented in an impressive way. Inside coffee place - nice but can be skipped.

This is the second museum we visit when in Paris. The first Le Louvre. Here you have the most outstanding collection of impressionists painting in a superb building: an ex-railway station.

So much good art in a lovely venue. I didn't book early but managed to only be in line for 20 min for the security check, followed by 10 min for ticket purchase. Go early if you haven't pre-booked; I was in line by 10AM and seemed to beat the crowds (weekday).
