“Beautiful landmark”

Whats not to like?, only the queues!. Cheap compared to landmarks in London, just wonderful. We walked from second floor so try that out.

“Simply amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

Went there a Friday night, which was worth it, considering the ridiculously long queue earlier in the day. The view is simply amazing, but the tourists and the sellers are really annoying.

“"Walk up" option worked for us / highly recommended!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

I know some people might think the Eiffel Tower is one big tourist trap and overrated, but WE loved it! Such an amazing view! We did NOT have reserve tickets or "skip the line" tickets; there is such an amazingly CRAZY markup on those prepaid tickets and if you have decent stamina you can walk up. We had always intended to walk up to the 2nd level (that's as high as you are permitted to walk - you have to ride to the 3rd level). We did not want the reserved tickets because of the huge mark up for the pay ahead option or the "skip the line" option. Also, if you pre-purchase reserved tickets you are stuck going at that time, regardless of the weather!

There is a special line for those intending to walk up. The line to purchase tickets to walk up was not that long; we waited about 20 minutes. My husband is 67 and although he is in very good shape, he did not find it as physically taxing as he thought he would. There are platforms between the flights of stairs where you can "take a breather" if needed. Highly recommended; you will LOVE the million dollar view!

“A nice view of Paris. ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

Let's be honest, a panoramic view is a panoramic view. And you can't go to Paris and NOT see the Eiffel Tower. So pay the tourist grab money and go to the top of the tower and look around. It's a nice sight to see at night as well. From the bottom. All in all a nice view but nothing spectacular. The structure itself is a thing of particular beauty. Still in awe of that, but you don't need to spend money to see the structural aspects.
