“Unexpected surprise”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

I wanted to see Monet´s Sunrise but when i got to this lovely museum, a little far from the beaten track, was muchh much more. And not only paintings but also furniture fantastically displayed. Plus the staff is really nice and friendly, wich makes a difference in Paris too. Another discovery was the surrounding area, really pleasant neighborhood.

“If you are a Monet fan don't miss it.”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

It is a mansion and a museum. Lots of Monets and contemporaries. A little out of the way, but worth the effort for any Monet fan. Don't miss a trip to Giverny if you can get there either.

“Biggest collection of Monet's”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

Take the time to visit the Marmottan and the pretty area of Passay while you do. Good restaurants close to the metro stop (La Muette)
But the Monet's are what you come to see. The collection owned by his son and given to the public. Lots are late paintings and are not ones everyone knows. See the original "Impression" that gave its name to the movement. Well worth taking the time to visit

“Monet and much more in a fantastic mansion, with no crowds!”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

This museum has the largest Monet collection of them all in a wonderful and elegant mansion. Because the museum is located near the Bois de Bologne, there are no crowds and in addition to the Monets (over 100 of them), there are other impressionists represented, as well.

“Wonderful Museum!!!”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

This is a jewel of a museum and one that should not be missed if you like Impressionistic painting. We went when they had an exhibit of 100 impressions paintings from private collections. It was wonderful. We just didn't have time to spend as long as we needed because the museum closed about 2 hours after we arrived. We will go back the next time we are in Paris.
