Owner description: Located in a 19th-century mansion, this museum's fabulous collection of Impressionist paintings ranks second only behind the Musée d'Orsay.

This is a hidden gem, full of impressionist paintings without long lines. Monet's son willed his collection to France and it is housed here, along with Berthe Morisot's smaller collection

A friend told us about this Musee and we loved it a gem of a find especially for Monet lovers. The whole place is great. Amazing how folk so generous with art collections- donating them to this Musee for all to see.

The Musee Marmottan is located in a beautiful neighborhood, in an impressive late 19th hunting lodge, and houses a stellar collection of Monet's, imaginatively curated and installed. Works by lesser known artists of an earlier generation comprise the upper floors but are worth seeing before heading downstairs to see the Monets. That will provide a context for experiencing the quantum leap taken by Monet and will likely give you a new and revitalized perspective on the paintings of this remarkable artist.

For lovers of Impressionist painting this little gem is a treasure trove. Larger than the building appears, with basements dedicated to Monet, this house is filled with amazing works by all the well known Impressionists. The furniture and fittings are wondrous. Spent 3 hours here

Collection was pretty awesome for a small museum. There were two things I didn't like: Took us forever to enter the Museum, just one guy at the ticket booth is a no-go. There was no Wi-Fi at a Museum you have to pay to visit, really? Even smaller ones i been has. Paintings were beautiful so it was worth it.
