“Mesmerising Modern Art”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2013

Now (July 2013), the Keith Haring temporary exhibition is spell-binding. First class. Don't miss it.

In the permanent collection, the huge murals of Roger & Sonia Delaunay, Raoul Duffy and others are musts. The Pierre Bonnard and Paul Cezanne works are so fresh they arrest you to stop. Some fine art deco furniture binds you, too. Overall, the museum is well worth visiting. With a great range of posters and, on some days, a good street market outside for lunch.

“Always partially free”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2013 via mobile

There are always parts of the museum which are free and that's a plus in an expensive city. Also, while you're there, walk out to the courtyard (between the two semicircle buildings) and enjoy the great view. I wouldn't call this a must see, but if you have time, go.

“An ugly building with some great art”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2013

We also were initially disappointed to find that the permanent collection was partially closed to make space for the current Keith Haring exhibition (on until 18 August 2013), But that show is absolutely fantastic -- a must-see for any fan of contemporary art, especially protest and street art. The less-than-excellent score I give is for the place itself, rather than the current exhibition. The building itself should be pulled down; it is supremely ugly in "Mussolini Modern" style and in very bad condition on the outside. The surrounding plaza has broken floors, puddles of water and a generally neglected look. The city of Paris aught to be ashamed of itself.

“Modern Art Museum Paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2013

I visited the Modern Art Museum Paris the other day with 2 friends. We had purchased our tickets in advance and had no "wait in line." It was a Keith Haring exhibit covering many rooms. His paintings were quite large and there was even a movie at the end about his life. A huge crowd attended -- including small children -- over here nudity, etc. is just LIFE. Not like in the USA! Quite refreshing to find children seeing art. I recommend this exhibit if you are in Paris. Keith's works were protests against injustice, etc. and the art had been collected from many famous people and galleries for this show.

“Great Keith Haring exhibition”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2013

Currently the permanent collection (free) is partially closed to make space for the Keith Haring exhibition (until 18 August 2013, 11Euros), that presents a comprehensive collection of his works, worth visiting. After the exhibition, there is a nice cafe in nearby Palais de Tokyo. Take into account that the exhibition starts closing around 17:45, and it takes one hour to see all the paintings and sculptures plus some minutes more for the videos.
