Dear Guest, thank you for having selected the Prince de Galles for your recent stay in Paris. Delighted to read that you enjoyed our new atmosphere and La Scene restaurant, led by Chef Stephanie Le Quellec. The Hotel’s location is indeed very convenient, in the heart of the Golden Triangle and only a few minutes’ walk from the Champs Elysées. We are looking forward to welcoming you back very soon! Best regards,
What a stunning hotel. The Art Deco total remodel of the property is a work of art. Especially liked the black and white photos hanging in the hallways. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Not only was our room beautiful but it was extremely comfortable. It was extremely hard to leave and can't wait to return. The location is wonderful.
Dear Guest, thank you for having taken the time to share your Prince de Galles experience on tripadvisor. Glad to read you enjoyed your stay with us and that you were entirely satisfied with the Hotel’s new decoration. We are looking forward to welcoming back in the near future! Best regards,
We arrived in Paris on Sept. 22, 2013 and went to the hotel. It has just been totally renovated and opened in May. Our room was very nice with a balcony to go outside. All the employees were very nice and helpful. We only had breakfast once, very pricey! had cocktails once on the patio and that was very comfortable!
I would highly recommend Prince de Galles Hotel to anyone, its in a great location, very walkable to many places and sights!
Dear Jean, thank you for having taken the time to share your experience following your stay at the Prince de Galles. I am glad to read you enjoyed our property and have shared your valuable comments with all involved. We are looking forward to welcoming you back very soon!
Stayed here for a few days. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel interior accommodation were done by Pierre-Yves Rochon and are a tribute to his considered aesthetic and style. The suite was glamorous, well planned and a very considered palette. The bedside reading lamp was a little tricky but I found the lighting overall very carefully thought out and worked well. The balcony overlooking George V was charming and offered a good view of the wide street. Although street facing, the doors to the balcony did not allow any sound pollution into the room.
Not a great shower but the bathroom amenities are excellent.
Did not particularly enjoy the breakfast or the dining room, but the indoor terrace courtyard seemed pleasant. Did not use it.
The overall experience was a good one.
Dear David, thank you for having taken the time to write a review on Tripadvisor following your stay at the Prince de Galles. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay and the Hotel, which has reopened last May after a two year restoration. Your positive feedback regarding our Team has been shared with all involved, but we regret you were not entirely satisfied with our breakfast offer. We hope having the pleasure of welcoming you back in the near future and we remain at your disposal for any assistance you may require in the meantime.
Hotel Prince de Galles was beautifully renovated with an Art-Deco style, beautiful large bathrooms even in standard rooms, loved the various B&W photos hanged in the room's corridors and inside the rooms and the new ambiance of the hotel is very glamourous and classy.
The restaurant offered a very tasty "Steak Tartare" and for the dessert, the "macarons" are the best in Paris.
Highly recommended hotel, especially with its location and easy access from the Champs-Elysees.
Dear Guest, thank you for having selected the Prince de Galles for your recent stay in the City of Lights and for having taken the time to share your experience on Tripadvisor. I am glad you were entirely satisfied by the Hotel’s new décor and by our Cuisine, led by Chef Stephanie Le Quellec. We are looking forward to welcoming you back very soon!
This beautifully modernized Paris hotel reopened this Spring after a 2-1/2 year multi-million-dollar investment by its owners, completely reimagining a luxury hotel. We spent five days here in September. The hotel is brand spanking new with a modern elegance throughout. We used points to book an upgrade-level Art Deco room because we wanted a balcony on the street out front (Georges V). There appear to be a number of larger rooms and suites on some floors, but this time we were not upgraded (although Platinum) above the level we booked. Be aware that most of the rooms open only onto a fairly small interior atrium--no balconies, just windows--and there is somewhat insipid music playing all day and evening on the patio below, which also serves as a bar and breakfast venue. Privacy seemed better on the street side as well.
Our room, however, was great. The small balcony had a table and two chairs from which to observe the street scene, yet closing the door made the room quiet. I have never been in a hotel room with better lighting. There was task lighting everywhere, much of it on rheostats. The modern switches were intuitive, the bathroom lighting was outstanding, and there was even a switch for soft night lights. Outlets for charging, etc., were generous. The room had adequate hanging space and storage (although a desk drawer was curiously missing). The very large bathroom had plenty of racks for towels (something that is often missing in European hotels), copious counter space, a nicely sized shower, and abundant towels, robes, and amenities. Even the WiFi was super fast (and free).
Staff was for the most part very friendly and accommodating, especially the concierge staff (Mathieu and others) and Anne, our adorable server at breakfast.
As with most expensive hotels, prices for food and services seemed steep even by Parisian standards, but the experience was a delightful one. We had an incredibly creative dinner at La Scene, the fine dining venue, with beautiful food and attentive service. Some might find the choices too limited; study the menu to decide for yourself. Taking the Platinum free continental breakfast saved us $100 a day.
Dear Guest, thank you for your valuable feedback. I am delighted you enjoyed an exceptional experience at the recently reopened Prince de Galles and have shared your interesting comments with all our Team. I regret however that you were not offered an upgrade this time, which was most certainly due to the overbooking of the Hotel in September. We are looking forward to welcoming you back very soon at your Parisian Maison de Luxe.
