The hotel is beautiful, the service is excellent, the staff are courteous (especially for France), and the location is ideal. However, the air conditioning in the room was COMPLETELY INADEQUATE. The rooms never cooled below 75 degrees, which the staff told us was due to a "green" climate control system installed in the hotel during the renovation. If the management wants to be "green," let them do this in their own home, not in a 5-star hotel! It was just 80 degrees in Paris during our stay, and our room was unbearably hot, imagine when it is 90 degrees out in the height of summer!!

Room Tip: If you are used to American standards of air conditioning, don't stay here in summer!

Dear Allan,

Thank you very much for sharing your review about your recent stay with us.
I am enchanted to read that you enjoyed the Prince de Galles, our beautiful hotel, excellent service and location.

I am slightly surprised about your comment regarding the room temperature since there are thermostats in each room that allows you to set your preferred temperature.

Remaining at your entire disposal for any further information you may require, I wish you a lovely summer time.

Kind regards,

We ended our European vacation with a stay at the Prince De Galle. We had a great stay. The room was a bit small but it was as expected in the city. The check in was flawless as was our car service from the airport that was arranged through the concierge.
We had massages 2 days in a row after a long days of walking. The Spa suite is really nice , especially for the couple's massage we had.
The lounge is lovely and the service was excellent , as were the cocktails.
The only thing that I find is that the concierge is not really helpful with restaurant recommendations. The first night was asked for a recommendation and we had one restaurant in mind. That one was booked so he almost seemed like he was at a loss after that point. He did book us at a wonderful place but he didn't seem that confident he could find anything for us. Just puzzling for a city with thousands of restaurants.
This is something we find frequently when traveling that concierge seem to only know a limited number of restaurants.
We ended up booking all of our other meals ourselves by googling or going to trip advisor.
But it is a wonderful hotel. We did find the staff helpful and friendly. And the location is the best. I would stay here again.

We are staying at the hotel for 6 nights celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Within the first 2 nights of our stay the service we've experience so far has been nothing short of excellent. This is a hotel that pays attention to every single little detail. The check-in was efficient and included a quick tour of the courtyard, bar and restaurant so we know where everything is located. We are in an Art Deco room which is absolutely gorgeous! It feels brand new and is tastefully decorated with Art Deco charm. There was a chilled bottle of champagne and macaroons waiting for us upon entering the room. Our room has a nice balcony which over looks George V. The windows are pretty much sound proof and you cannot hear anything when they are closed. If their standard room is as nice as the one we are in, once could only imagine what a very special experience it would be to stay in one of their suites!

Yesterday was the Tour de France and the evening prior there was a letter sent by management to let us know about the event so guest are notified ahead of time regarding the road closures by the champs élysées. This is just another one of the many little things that this forward thinking hotel does to ensure the ultimate comfort and convenience of their guests. They do not miss a beat !

I've never written a review at any of the other 5 star hotels we've been fortunate enough to stay at but this hotel really goes above and beyond.

I was feeling under the weather at 2am in the morning and called down to ask for a kettle to boil some hot water. Almost instantly they delivered the kettle and even filled it with water.

Besides the seamless service we've experienced so far, the location couldn't be better. We are within walking distance to the Eiffle tower, arc de triumph, and champs élysées!

I highly recommend this hotel to those who are looking for an intimate 5 star experience and appreciate world class service.

We are looking forward to the rest of our stay and excited to experience even more of what this hotel has to offer.

Location is great. Rooms are fine. Service inconsistent.
We had Stayed in a Mosaic Suite. Room was good sized for Paris but not up to par with next door neighbor (Four Seasons) where we normally stay. Check in was good. We arrived early morning after a long flight and room was not ready. We were provided a courtesy room until suite was ready. This was much appreciated as we were exhausted.
Concierge was somewhat rude on several occasions. I requested advice on a specific restaurant only to be told that they had never heard of it without bothering to research or ask someone else! I was finally able to get directions from the very pleasant doorman.
Overall, hotel is nice but we will be back to Four Seasons next time we are in Paris.

We just returned from paris where we had two suites at the hotel. My daughter and her husband where finishing their honeymoon and we all met for two nights in Paris over Bastille Day. Our rooms were beautiful complete with fresh flowers and the best electronic and internet service of anywhere we stayed in Europe. The renovation is beautiful and the service was wonderful. Congradulations to Mr. Leon Reinartz, Front office manager and his staff on such a well run property. We would highly recommend this property to anyone going to Paris. The location is fantastic and the breakfast was wonderful. Thank you for an unforgettable say! We will be back!

I stayed for 6 nights with my wife and my two daughters. The location is great. Service was perfect. The breakfast was delicious. The room was big, we had a Makassar suite. It takes care about Platinum member. Everything was perfect, except the weather (It rained for 6 days).
You can eat inside the hotel because there is a good restaurant which has one Michelin star or you can go in front of the hotel to the ecluse. It is a nice wine bar with good food and great wines.
I recommend this hotel for everybody. I had a good stay and I will come back for sure.
