“Exterior - wonderful; interior - average!”
Reviewed 28 August 2014

I tried 3 times to visit this cathedral and it was third time lucky; I arrived just after 10am and there was only a very small queue which moved inside very quickly!
The interior is impressive in a sombre kind of way but not really that much to see plus of course, you have the noisy crowds of visitors made worse by the attendants shouting "shhh!". It was also surprisingly warm inside so after a quick turn around the inside, I was quite happy to get out into the fresh air! Even though it was quick to get in, the ascent to the towers would have necessitated a considerable wait as only a small number if people is allowed up at any one time so I gave it a miss. By the way, no elevator so you have to climb several hundred stairs!
The outside of the building is wonderful and if you have binoculars, you can see many of the gargoyles very easily without having to climb the towers.
If the queues to get in are very long, I would give it a miss.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 28 August 2014

When we came to the Cathedral there was a long queue to get in. Anyway, there were 2 separate lines to get in, one was for the tourists and one for the people which went to the mass (which was when we were inside). We skip the line by going to the line for people going to the mass. It's a very interesting church. It was amazing, because when we were sightseeing, the mass was going on and we had a tour with organ music (beautiful music).
