We visited the Arc after a walk down the Champs-Elysee and it was great to see. The Arc is very impressive and there were flowers and candles laid for the tomb of the unknown soldier. We braved the traffic and walked into the "picture circle" to take pictures and it was a little harrowing with the cars buzzing by. To get over to the Arc you need to take the underground passage and never attempt to cross the circle. There are many petition girls around so be prepared. The climb to the top isn't bad and the steps aren't as narrow as the Notre Dame Towers. The view from the top is beautiful and worth a visit.
