The Lancaster is a boutique hotel. Each room is decorated differently using a "french" style. We had room 50. 51 (Livingroom) and 52. The rooms were large for Europe, the bathrooms very spacious with marble vanities, deep tubs and lavish amenties. I block from Champ Elysee. 3 blocks form George V Metro and very near the delicious patissier Laduree. The staff was very helpful and efficient. Pierre and Magalee. the concierges did a fantastic job of reconfrming and confirming all of our reservations. They also offered excellant suggestions. The buffet breakfast is usually 35 euro per person but was included in our rate. The only draw back was street noise on the Rue de Berri side around 11:00-12:00 as the hotel is across form several bars. Request a garden facing room if you are a light sleeper. Also I suggest you stear clear of using the room mini bar. Water is 8 euro! There is a Mono Prix ( Target) just down the street where you can pick up water, Pepsi, and other snacks at a reasonable price. Great place! Would return again.

We stayed here on a visit to watch the climax of the tour de france.

Very central to champs elysees and the good bars and restaurants, metro at 150 metres.

Staff were wonderful - nothing too much trouble - especially for our daughter - and they made us feel very welcome and valued.

We will be back

Food was good - lovely room which was spotless and great comfy beds.

A little pricey at 400 per night but all in all worth it.

Pros: I stayed in Hotel Lancaster this July with my boyfriend. Everybody that work in this hotel treated us like the royal family. As we arrived at the service desk, we were greeted with warm welcome and was offered an upgrade if we were willing to check in in a few hours. We were not in a hurry to check into our hotel, so we took the offer. This was my first time in Paris, so I didn't know what to expect as far as room size, but hotel lancaster has a decent size rooms. The most important factor for us was cleanliness and it was very clean. After we checked in every question we had was answered by conceierge very politely. The location, I thought was great. There were many cafe's. restaurants, and pubs right outside of the hotel, so we didn't really have to eat at our hotel unless we chose otherwise. The location was also very lively and safe at night.

Cons: the only negative experience in this hotel was the Air Conditioner. The room had AC system but didn't function too good. So our room was very very hot and we had to request two fans to keep it cool enough.

I fail to see how anyone could give this hotel a bad review Stayed 2 nights with my wife and friends, Must be one of the last hotels in Paris that understands what real service is Nothing was too much trouble for the staff An excellent breakfast both in room service and in dining room. Well done to all
