Others have commented on the great location, central for all the main sights. It's only a few minutes to the river, the Rue St Germain and various iconic cafes. Getting about by Metro is convenient from this location to anywhere that's a bit further out. We had five nights of peaceful, uninterrupted sleep in a lovely room. Adverse reviews from some time ago, which indicate small beds and rooms, do not match our experience. The bed was HUGE and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate and overall, the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel was of a very high standard. We loved the quirky decoration and the sense of history about the hotel. Others have found the underground room, where the bar is and breakfast is served, too small and cramped, but it is after all, a 17th century room! As such, it has tons of atmosphere; there is good use of space and sympathetic lighting. The spiral staircase downstairs is not recommended if you are unsteady on your feet but you could always have room service. We met lots of staff and they were without exception friendly, informative and helpful. We will return.

This small hotel sits just off the very busy Boulevard St Germain. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are a good size by downtown Paris standards.

There is a small courtyard where you can get a soothing beverage to review the day's exploits while planning that night's adventure.

It is easy to find which is an important attribute in Paris. You can also walk to many important sites such as The Louvre, Notre Dame, and les Invalides. It was a fabulous base from which to the explore the centre of the city.

The breakfasts are very good and presented in the most romantic of settings.

Room Tip: If you have large luggage, the elevator is very small.

I booked the hotel based on its good reviews on Tripadvisor and its central locatio between the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. The hotel lived up to my expectations. My kids got an adjacent room as promised, and when we left and my credit card snagged, the friendly guy at the desk simply punched in the figures without making any fuss. From the hotel, It's about 25 minutes by foot to the Eiffel Tower and 15 minutes to the Louvre/Seine. Not expensive either. While on the subject of the Louvre: if you want to get in, then go down to the underground shops by way of the escalator in front of the Louvre - the lines are much, much shorter there.

A very nice hotel, nicely decorated, premium towels and robes. Walking distance to Luxemburg Gardens, Musse de Orsay and Musse de Orangerie. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and bakeries near by. Nice shops in a well heeled area of Paris. We enjoyed strolling around the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful and all we met did speak English. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very nice boutique hotel in a quiet area of District 7. Walking distance to most of the major Paris attractions, although the Eiffel Tower is probably a 25 min walk. Rooms are on the small side but typical for large cities. (Room 41 has a nice canopy bed with fabric decor on the walls.) Clean rooms and modern bathroom. Great, friendly service. A block away from a Metro stop. Lots of pastry's and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel has a downstairs breakfast buffet but we didn't eat there as we chose to explore the local pastry shops. There are a couple of really nice restaurants immediately next store to the hotel. Ate at one and it was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This was a wonderful find on a quiet street near the Orsay Museum. Easy walk to everything! All of the staff was wonderful and helpful. We had a first floor room that was HUGE! Wonderful rain shower head and nice tub. Large sitting area, large bedrooms, robes, slippers, etc. I cannot say enough great things about this hotel! The area downstairs to have breakfast in is so cute, a must see! They also provided free, large umbrellas for us since it rained most of the trip!

Room Tip: We liked the first floor room but I am sure they are all nice!

We stayed one night on July 11 following a weeks stay at the Marriott Resort near EuroDisney before returning to the States. We enjoyed the afternoon walking the area, doing some shopping and having a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant Les Botanistes (recommended by the hotel). The hotel is well located with very good service. Our room #6 was on the first floor. Very clean but SMALL. Paid 230 euros. Very convenient to the Metro. We do recommend but the our room was too small for our tastes.

Oh one more thing. We left our window open to enjoy the cool night air. I was awaken around 4 by biting mosquitoes. Don't leave the window open.
