Wonderful service, fabulous location, great restaurant, loved it. The concierge team was extremely helpful. It is an elegant but trendy property with all the amenities. The outdoor courtyard is perfect.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room with a city view

first time ever i stayed here and as we arrived early in Paris we checked in over coffee in the lounge and left our luggage while we went shopping and sightseeing in Paris. we get a call a couple hours later asking if we would mind our room being upgraded. you know the excitement you are upgraded and rust me, i was like a kid in a sweetshop. getting back to the hotel we were offered a glass of champagne while waiting for the room to be ready and 15 minutes later the wait was worth it. arriving in room 418 was incredible. We had one of the best weekends i have ever had. you know, this hotel might be one of the best in Paris but that has for most nothing to do with how luxurious it is. it has to do with the service you receive, the exceptional attention to detail of the team that is there and looks after you. from the door staff who would be there when you left the hotel to offer you an umbrella when it rained to the butlers and concierge team who are happy to arrange a taxi that can collect you from the night club. I would like to via this review take the chance to thank Mr Moizan, General Manager of the Fouquet's Barriere Hotel. The team you have working at the hotel is incredible. they are not their just for the money. it shows they are working at Fouquet's Barriere because they love their job. I can't wait to come back next time i am in Paris.

This was our second stay at the hotel. It has a classy, iconic feel about it and the setting is excellent, as you are located on the corner of the Rue George V and the Champs Elysees.

The welcome is excellent and the roll call of file stars who have stayed there points to the standards that you should expect.

The rooms are excellent and spacious and on both occasions we have had a room and a spacious suite facing the Champs Elysees and you could hear a pin drop in the rooms, they are so we'll soundproofed. The amenities are of a high standard and they are cleanliness personified.

The facilities are also of a very high standard with bars and restaurants to cater for most tastes. Le Diane, the Michelin starred restaurant, is superb, with high class faire and excellent service.

It is not cheap but you get what you pay for and more. Ask the concierge for tickets for the main Paris attractions and skip all of the queues. Use the spa to unwind after a busy day of shopping or enjoy a range of innovative cocktails in the bar!

Treat yourself!! This is our annual guilty pleasure!

Second stay at this hotel. Nothing really to complain about you get what you pay for. The hotel is simply luxury if you can afford it. It is an iconic hotel on Ave George V. The reception staff at check-in were extremely polite and respectful. The rooms are very large by Paris standards. The bathroom and shower area is large with separate tub. The amenities are the same as in any 5 start hotel nothing more than expected. The toilet is on the other side of the room next to the large dressing area. The room rate included free mini-bar and internet which was excellent and hassle free to connect multiple devices. The bed, pillows were all great.

Lobby area is small but cozy, was never crowded.

Breakfast if not included with the room is expensive but then again if you are staying here you might expect it. It is served in La Diane restaurant. There is a small table of buffet items, mainly breads, cheese, cold meats etc. Other menu items are a la carte, like eggs. Overall satisfactory but nothing out of ordinary.

Human element: overall everyone was extremely polite, helpful and spoke excellent English. The concierge were very helpful, they made restaurant reservations, they cancelled restaurant reservations and I saw them with other guests always polite and helpful.

Being on the Champs E'Lysee and Arc de Triumph ensures the hotel has a great location. The decoration is very funky, the rooms were decently sized and the service was excellent. However its dreadfully expensive and, although good, is certainly not worth the money.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights in room 109. It is spacious, with bath, separate shower and toilet. There is also a sitting area. The decor is contemporary baroque and the bed is a huge 240x200 Treca which is really comfy. Other pluses are complimentary minibar (with soft drinks) and Internet.
So why isn't it excellent? For one thing, we felt that maintenance could be a bit more attentive. There are many dents and scratches around. My impression was that there was plenty of wood everywhere, not just the furniture, that is much harder to touch up. Another problem was in another room used by our party (112). The smell of old cigarette smoke was almost unbearable and we asked to move to another room. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked for the night. We were able to switch room the following day. They did try to mitigate the smell with some kind of ozone machine that did not solve the problem. In a 5 star non-smoking hotel a smelly room is simply not acceptable.
Another minus was breakfast. We asked for an item (bircher muesli) that was in the in-room breakfast menu but not in the regular menu and the waitress immediately told us that we could not have it. I would prefer a smile and 'yes we can' attitude. Five star hotels usually claim to do their best to fulfill their clients' demands, even the most exotic ones. I guess not here.
We tried the SPA and the massage was excellent. However, the waiting area and rest area are not as good as at the George V.
On a positive note the doormen are helpful, smiling and friendly.

It was a spontaneous trip to France. I booked via the LHW.com page. The hotel is perfectly located at the Champs Elysees. It is not neither too small nor too big. The building and the facilities are not brand-new, but in best condition. You are guest at a house with tradition and history, I enjoyed it. I got an upgrade to a marvelous suite in the 6th floor. The service was overwhelming. Beginning from the reception clerk, to the room service and the restaurant waiter, they all knew my wishes and fulfilled them even before I could speak them out - it was a really fantastic stay, unfortunately too short. The breakfast is combined a la carte with a small buffet, which I prefer over the usual breakfast buffet. Who can enjoy luxury hotels should try the Fouquet´s Barriere. It was the by far best experience I made after about 20 stays in Paris hotels, mostly in the luxury category. Location, facilities and service are fitting together, all on highest level.

Room Tip: I know the suite in the highest floor, which I can - of course - recommend. I assume, all rooms are...
