My boyfriend and I travelled to Paris for a 3 day city break for my 21st birthday.
After a long journey of planes, trains and walking, we arrived at Hotel Le Tourville. We were greeted by a polite and very helpful gentleman on the front desk. We signed the forms and he led us straight to our room on the ground floor.
The room was a good size and very clean with a perfectly modern bathroom, however, it being on the ground floor meant that you had people constantly walking past the windows (which were barred as it was right on the street) and you could hear every step that the other guests made through the lobby and at the bottom of the stairs.
Not being one to openly make a fuss, my boyfriend went and spoke to the gentleman on the front desk to see if we could move rooms. Good news! Although the hotel was fully booked that night, he said we could move to a room on the 3rd floor in the morning, and we did. (To be honest, we were so exhausted from travelling, we weren't really affected by what we initially thought was a problem anyway.) After moving rooms we found that it was, again, very clean and actually slightly bigger than the first. The view from the window was beautiful, even on a rainy day and you could see right down the street.
Because we were only in Paris for a few days, we skipped breakfast on the first two. On the third day we ordered a continental breakfast to be brought to our room at 7am. A lovely old lady brought it up on time, however, instead of receiving a cup of tea like I had ordered, they had put a cup of coffee on the tray. One simple mistake. I wasn't fussed though, I was way to excited about going to Disneyland for the day.
We couldn't of asked for a better location either. If you walk out of the front door, turn right, walk 100m down the road (past some gorgeous restaurants that are definitely worth a visit), turn right at the end and there you will find the Eiffel Tower, really close and in perfect view. Also the underground is just down the road as well, so you don't have to walk far at all to get moving with your day of sight seeing.
We were cautious of the reviews that we had read about this hotel before booking, but took the plunge. I'm so glad we didn't listen to them.
Overall, this is a lovely, comfortable, clean hotel in a perfect location. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and they always said hello and goodbye as we left for the day and arrived back at night. If we were to visit Paris again, this hotel would be the one I would stay in, without a second thought.
