The Louvre is a Paris must-see, and I enjoyed taking my time going through it this time around (no kids with us). There are some spectacular pieces there in addition to the classics you'll go there to see in person (the Mona Lisa, Michelangelo's David, the Code of Hammurabi, etc.). And the food we had there during a break was great (although they were out of some items that day). But the rest rooms were awful. It was a Sunday when we were there, and it did not seem that anyone was attending them. It may have been a cultural issue, but it seemed that a lot of women were just trying to thrown their toilet paper into already full sanitary bins in the stalls. Yuck. So, the museum gets a 5, but I deducted one point for the restrooms . . . .

Spent the whole day here, worth the the 10€!

Avoid the main pyramid entrance and get your tickets from the tobacco shop in the shopping mall below to avoid the queues!

We went with Caroline from via tour and she was great. The tour was long but we covered all the must sees while giving us an lesson in art. With her knowledge of art and French history, she showed us how things developed in the art works so we were able to appreciate them more. As there is just so much to see a guide really helps - it cuts out the long queues too. We were able to go on after the tour to see things we wanted to but still knowing we saw all the ones we had to.
