You honestly need circa 6 months to see every piece of art work found at the Louvre which is housed in the Palais Royale. We spent about 4 hours there and saw about 10% but every moment was outstanding.

One of the famous museum in the world, where one can see all the ancient Egyptian treasures that were taken by the French researchers around 150 years ago, or to see some famous pictures, such as The Mona Lisa.
Just one reminder, you walk there a lot, take a comfortable shoes.

Well laid out with directions to popular exhibits, which saves time unless you have the days it would take to tour full museum.
Line at main entrance was long but we use one of the carrousel entrances and walked right in no line.

My husband and I went to the Louvre Friday evening, as it is open later on Fridays. We are not huge museum buffs, so didn't need to spend all day there. We found are way to the Winged Victory statue, Mona Lisa painting and went through 2 of the 3 wings. We were greatly surprised of the sheer size of the Louvre. It's HUGE! Glad we went!

Loved the Louvre. There is no way you could do the whole thing in a day, and we struggled even to see the things we wanted to. Very crowded around the Mona Lisa, but other amazing art works are not so busy so plenty of space for quiet reflection.
