We got here after a long day of travel, and were very happy with the warm welcome and efficient check in procedure. The room, although small seemed nice enough. However, there was a big house-keeping mess up and we found a huge blood stain on the WC! Naturally we were disgusted and questioned the hygiene, but the owner/manager handled it excellently. Besides being profusely apologetic she also upgraded us to the nicest suite - a serviced apartment on the 5th floor of the new building - and that just made our stay in Paris. I would highly recommend paying the extra price and getting this room. Its got a nice balcony where we would sit out and having our breakfast and coffee. Its got a huge living room and a very nice sized bathroom too. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, is excellent and very helpful. A big advantage of this hotel is also its location - a 15 minute walk to both the tuilleries and louvre and a 15 minute walk to the arc de triomphe. I've been to Paris on multiple occasions and I highly recommend this hotel - its not over priced like so many Paris hotels while still providing good service.

Room Tip: The serviced apartment on the 5th floor of the new building.

It not a hotel for luxury. It is clean and the rooms are decent. We stayed in a duplex room, very small tv, old carpet, so you do get the feel that the hotel is old. However we did get AC which is a plus on the hot Paris days. The location is very nice, if you like to walk you are not so far from most of the Paris attractions. The breakfast is average with a small selection, not worth the money as there are many other places near it you can go eat. Free internet is always a nice touch to a hotel and they do offer it :)

Room Tip: The Duplex Rooms are nice!

Hotel de l'Arcade was the prefect hotel to stay in. It had a real Parisian feel about it and it was in a perfect location - 5 min walk from Champs-Élysées, 15 min (ish) walk to the Musée d'Orsay. The room was a good size, comfortable bed, good shower and nice cosy decor. You couldn't ask for more friendly staff on the front desk. Check in was swift, they all spoke very good english (although my partner speaks some french and they humoured him with it), they recommended lots of places to eat - they even booked us into this very nice Parisian romantic restaurant at short notice which was a short walk from the hotel. We will definitely be going back!

Hotel de l'Arcade was everything we hoped for and more. I'm finally getting around to writing this a year later, but the experience is still fresh in my mind because it was SO awesome. Last summer, I traveled to Paris with two girlfriends, and we stayed here while we explored the city. The view from our little balcony was incredible, especially at sunset. We had a big queen or king sized bed and a twin bed, and the room was easily the most comfortable and largest of our entire trip. The size of the room is amazing for the price. I recently stayed in a different hotel in Paris, and it was a closet compared to de l'Arcade, and not that much cheaper.

On our last day, we wanted to send out postcards but were told that the post office was closed for a bank holiday. The manager of the hotel was in the lobby and overheard, and he offered to personally send out our postcards the next day. We were so impressed!!!! During our trip, we bought wine and snacks to eat in our room, and they happily provided us with silverware and other necessities.

The hotel is also close to a lot of attractions + the metro, and is in the middle of town. It's down the street from a bunch of boutiques and a Laduree. I would stay here again and again.

Room Tip: Great hotel for parties of 3!

If you are in Paris visiting the touristic sights, or as I was on business, this hotel is really very good. It reminds me of an upper class Best Western hotel commonly found in Europe. The décor is similar but this hotel is larger.

The location is spot on. Close to Madeleine metro station and a short walk from the rue de Champs Elysées, it cannot get any better. And for 150 Euros per room per night, bed only, it is really very good.

My room was very clean, well furnished with all the facilities, not to forget an aircondition. Don't laugh, it can get really hot in Paris in summer and an a/c is a welcome reprieve.

Check in was swift and check out was painless. Everyone spoke English and was hospitable.

They also offer breakfast but I highly suggest you do not go for the option. Not because it's bad or pricey, but because a coffee and croissant in Paris should be had at a Parisian café.

Not much more to say about it other than a great stay, good hospitality and a super location.

Tip to the hotel: Put an ash tray outside the hotel entrance for smokers. Making a customer look for a trash can around the corner to discard a cigarette is not acceptable.

Arrived here after an 18-hour plus flight happy to be in Paris on my birthday but despite my wife (secretly) advising the hotel, no acknowledgement. I’m not precious about birthdays but know marketing and was impressed that the second hotel we stayed at had picked up on her notification with macaroons, sweets and bottled water. It’s the small things and at about $500 a night, perhaps something that L’Arcade should not miss. Chosen because of its location in the 8th and close to Madeleine’s church and big Princtemps and Lafayette shops, the hotel is one of four lined up along Rue de l’Arcade and a five-minute walk from the Metro. It’s easy to find - a bonus in any city. Advantages include the choice of its standard hotel rooms or self-contained apartments with a separate street entrance. We chose a triple room (our daughter was traveling with us) which turned out to be in the apartment section. It had three separate rooms including a decent size bathroom (well, for Paris). Rooms have cooking facilities and utensils, electric kettle and crockery/cutlery. They overlook the quiet streets behind Madeleine’s busyness - appreciated having proximity to eateries, transport and shops without the downside of noise. The apartment was recently refurbished and well presented with new fittings and wi-fi is free. But beds were adequate (may need upgrading) and disappointed no water in the rooms. Secure car parking is available nearby (if pre-arranged), under the church, for an expensive E25 a day. Hotel staff are keen to help but weren’t always accurate. We bypassed the optional breakfast at E15 per person and instead walked down to an excellent patisserie a couple of minutes down the road - Les Caprices de Charlotte - that does breakfast/lunch (except Sunday). The place was suggested by the hotel staff. It is close to a dozen small restaurants and bars including Paris London (good, but a bit basic) and Cafe Madeleine which nailed the cocktails (E9.50-12.50) and Mita Mita entree plate (E16.50). Visit the church, see Lafayette’s cathedral-like interior, walk down to the Louvre and its gardens (and a bit further to the Seine) or just hop a Metro and go anywhere. The 8th is my favourite slice of Paris because it’s close to everything yet is relatively quiet. Unfortunately, it’s also a bit more expensive than some other arrondissements. Tip is to try for the apartments to give yourself a bit more room, and to get up to the third or fourth floor (there is a modern lift). We would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it highly.

Room Tip: The private apartment section of the hotel can have cooking facilities and rooms are ikely to be big...

I recently stayed at Hotel de l'Arcade for 4 nights. It was at the end of a long trip and frankly, I did no research, just spoke to a friend who stayed here last year and said it was wonderful. she was RIGHT! The room was good, the location perfect (near the Madeleine area) and the staff were outstanding - seriously!. Jeremie, Cecile, Praxede and even a lovely girl who had just started that week went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We asked Jeremie for a particular type of restuarant and he was spot on. The next day we found a restaurant for lunch and it was rubbish. We decided to try Jeremie (an on subsequent nights the other staff) and each time they scored a bullseye with what we were seeking. They even got us a superb table at a restaurant with a fabulous view of the Eiffel Tower. Hotels and a dime a dozen in Paris however I would strongly recommend this one as you cannot buy the advice, genuine help and assistance by the staff. When a flash 3 day air traffic controllers strike struck in Paris on our day of departure, the staff rallied, got us to our destinations and kept track of the updates for us - what more do you want? Whoever is responsible for the recruitment and retention of staff of this calibre - well done! Give them a bonus and I will certainly return and encourage my friends to do so. Thank you, you made my trip to Paris even better
