Great garden to walk around, relax and enjoy what nature has to offer, the building which house the French Senate is beautiful, it is like walking on the gardens of a beautiful Manor.

This garden (jardin) is 60 acres of park, recreation (tennis courts, board games area, designated jogging trails, picnic areas, all in perfectly manicured lawns, flower beds, groves of trees, potted citrus, palms, and other southern trees that are taken inside during the winter). The Palace, 1615 by Marie de Medici, now houses the French Senate. On the pond in front of the palace children rent small sailboats to sail around the pond 4€ for 30 minutes. There are plenty of benches and chairs for picnicking.

A great place to relax, people watch, meet local Parisians enjoying their day in a beautiful garden - Parisian way.

We were there on a sunny day but there is lot of shade with benches and chairs to sit. We spent a few hours relaxing, eating and drinking. There are a bunch of activities for kids -
1. sail boating (kids love it) 4 euros for 30 minutes
2. play area for younger kids (this is paid around 2 euros for kids and 1.5 euros for parents to get in the fenced area. But there are restrooms inside the fenced area for use so it does provide additional convenience.
3. Carousel with added fun for kids sitting on the outside. They catch rings while enjoying the ride. This is 1.5 euro per child.
4. Basketball courts
5. Tennis courts
6. Horseback (Pony) riding, which is around 5 Euros.

There are cafes for food, coffee, and drinks. You can also bring your own and eat/drink anywhere in the garden. With all the options for kids and a great way to relax for parents and enjoy beautiful gardens.

It is right outside a metro and RER stop and you can walk from one end to the other in 10 minutes. There is a palace in the center and a museum on one side as well, which we didn't visit.

Great spot to read, walk about. Take water. There is a cafe to purchase drinks, wine in the shade. Fun to watch the children sail their boats. Beautiful smell of the Linden trees in June.
