My husband and I wandered in after a long day walking in the Parisian rain. It was so pleasant to be transported to such a carefully planned out interior. The warm candle-light reflected off of the colorful mosaics as a prompt waiter ushered us to our table. The decor and atmosphere was just the beginning of our experience.
We started with an appetizer (dips and salads) sampler. Everything on the menu was so delectable sounding we had trouble deciding! The dips were very all very fresh and tasty, the seasoning was perfect, and we were satisfied with the portions.
Our meals were superb. I had the quail with apricots and almonds. It is for those who have a sweeter palate, to be sure. However, two small quail and a heaping portion of cous cous is more than enough for me! My husband had a delicious chicken tangine- it was at least 1/2 of a chicken over a generous bed of cous cous.
For dessert I had the "oriental coffee" and husband had the mint tea. It was delicious and refreshing. Our desserts were small but by this point we were quite full. Overall we were incredibly happy we stumbled upon this little gem. Our servers were incredibly helpful, pleasant and attentive. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a reasonable alternative to the multitude of brasseries.
