“Nice stained glass but nothing else”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

This church really isn't that great compared to other churches in Paris. The stained glass is very nice but almost all churches nowadays have stained glass. There is nothing else in this church worth seeing other than the glass.

Listening to a concert in Sainte-Chapelle really made the chapel come alive! The acoustics and surroundings were magical.

“A must see”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Great and a must see in Paris. We suggest to take the Batobus to get there which will also allow you a great view over the Seine as you travel.
Entrance is free but there is a fee for visiting the "treasury" which we could not see the value of spending.
Hint: If you want to visit the tours, be advised that you do not have to queue outside the main entry as these have a different entrance on the left side of the Church and require an 8 Euros entrance fee.

“under reconstruction May 2014”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Almost half of the stained glass windows are blocked and you cannot see them now. Otherwise, well worth the trip. Heavy screening including metal detectors for some reason.

“Unequalled stained glass”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Sainte-Chappelle is glorious. You see magnificent 13th century glass at its very best. It was not busy and we had all the time we needed to enjoy it. A satisfying culmination to our visits to a number of great French cathedrals.
