“Concert series is PHENOMENAL experience”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

6 piece string concert that was lead with by an enthusiastic, very personable and talented violinist. 3 other violinists, pianist, and cello. Lively music, 1 hour with no break. I will return for other series while living in Paris this summer. The setting at 7pm was perfect lighting. Buy the seats up front to capture the spirit of each professional. Although they move among the congregation during the performance.

“Worth of seeing”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

The uniqueness of this chapel is an atmosphere made by light going through huge colorful stained glass windows and a big rosette window in the center. It's a really amazing experience. There's no place like this.

“Many windows, difficult to see everything”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

We visited Sainte-Chapelle on a Sunday morning after worshipping at Notre Dame and visiting the bird and flower market. It was a beautiful church, with beautiful examples of stained glass. The church itself seemed small and crowded, and does not have the same atmosphere as an active, working church. The tour did not take a long time, so it is worth a quick stop on a walk through the neighborhood. Included in museum pass.

Amazing little chapel. Part of the former royal palace, this chapel is worth the low entrance fee. The glass-in-lead windows in the upper chapel are amazing. The lower chapel would be pretty if they hadn't filled it up with these church shops. Such a shame

“Pleasure and dissappointment”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

The Sainte-Chapelle was built by Louis IX, in the 13th century as a prestigious palace chapel. It is one of the little jewels of Paris. Not as important and well known as the Notre Dame but very unique and significant.
Don’t miss the upper chapel since this is the main attraction with its 15 stain glass windows and a large rose window. (ha,ha).Originally 15 , its true, but how many can you see because of the ongoing renovation? Do they reduce the price of the ticket as they reduce the number of windows you can see? I think you don’t need my answer.
The ground level is attractive as well, but for me a gift shop in chapel or church, always ruins my experience.
I’m not religious, but going into a church, or chapel I constantly remember some quotations from the New Testament .
“And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple…”
"Take these things away; stop making My Father's house a place of business."
Obviously Jesus is dead from nearly 2000 years ago, so there is no one to clear out his father’s house anymore.
My overall rating of this attraction according to the current situation.
