Honestly walking inside took my breath away. We rented the audio guide because I love audio guides. From the outside you're thinking...."really? this is it?" Then you walk in & it is simply breathtaking. It had just stopped raining so the sun was slowly beginning to shine. Oh my. Fairly crowded but not to the point of not being able to see or take photos. Several stairs to get to the upper chapel, but completely worth it.

Only one room - the chapel - but what a room. Interesting video of how they cleaned and restored the stained glass windows. However, 10 Euros for a relatively short visit is not t he best value for money ...

Visit Sainte-Chapelle. This is the one. It is breathtaking. The spiral stairs to the second level are very narrow and a bit claustrophobic, but the result is worth the effort. I do not know if there is a lift or not.

The view inside is amazing. It has no walls only columns with huge windows. It was a sunny day to visit which was what made it amazing.

Attended one of the evening classical concerts held in Sainte-Chapelle through most of the year. The acoustics of the chapel are not the best, but more than adequate for stringed instruments. What is lovely are the beautiful soaring stained glass windows in this relatively small chapel, lit up by the changing evening light during the summer months. Just beautiful. And attending the concert allows you to appreciate the windows without having to jostle with the usually large crowds.
