“The best place to eat on Montmartre!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2013

On the hill, close to the a historic mill there is a small restaurant which owner is Frenchman, who cooks from the heart. Ludwig, because that is the name of his the is very nice, the same as staff. They all speak English! You will see there a short menu and offer day and all are very well chosen. I could recommend a bottle of house chardonnay, salad with melted cheese, grilled duck breast or sensational pasta with shrimp Provencal. Desserts are also delicious.
Your evening in this restaurant for sure will be successful. Even as you come alone, like me becouse I'm comming to Paris on business. The restaurant has its own unique charm and a loyal guests. I'm visiting Paris regularly twice a year and I could live in different districts but at least once I must visit the Petit Parisien to feel the wonderful atmosphere, bustling with restaurants and watch the smiling customers. With some already know even from seeing:)

Of course there will be some drawbacks - sometimes you have to wait a long time until the waiter will approach, the menu is only in French and after 20:00 it is difficult to find a free spot. But remember that you are in Paris! And here at least you eat a superbly on a very reasonable prices. Recommended!

“Wonderful ambiance and tasteful food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2013 via mobile

I really liked this concept. Everything from styling, to menu, to staff seems right. It is small but that is kinda the charm I think. On the menu you will find typical french food and my ordered chicken tasted very good!

Take a good look around you when you visit this place. A lot of cool things you see (old posters, old jars) are for sale! On the menu you will find a list of old things you can buy, like an old newspaper!

The restaurant is located in a lovely street in Montmartre. After diner go to your right when going outside and have a stroll along the Rue Lepic! It is very nice at night!

“Greasy and Expensive Nightmare”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2013

This restaurant was like a Venus Flytrap - alluring decor, but deadly to encounter firsthand. The chef somehow managed to coat every dish in low-grade grease, a tiny step up from engine oil, but remarkably tasteless until we layered on an inch of table salt. We left the restaurant feeling sick and bloated.

We almost burst into laughter when the next table ordered a burrata/caprese salad, and got a bunch of uncut tomatoes on the vine next to a huge hunk of mozzarella. Symbolic of the sheer laziness of the cuisine.

And did I mention that all this was ludicrously expensive with zombie service? Too bad that TripAdvisor doesn't permit reviews on a minus scale, because these were 90 minutes of our lives that just went up in flames...

“Good food, presentation, friendly staff”

We very much enjoyed our meal at Le Petit Parisien, and would return. Be prepared for the rather stiff tariff. Unless your French is exceptional, we recommend the set Menu offerings, which we liked a lot.
