Very central - within a few minutes stroll of many major sights.. Easy access to the Metro, shops , eating places.
We stayed at No 15 . The rather grim inner- inner courtyard where the flat is located on the first floor has about 6 large rubbish containers , so not a pleasant ambience, heightened by the neglected pots of dead and half dead flowers outside the flat window.Communal stair case clean as was the flat . Traditional Parisian building,
The flat is described as quiet . It certainly is not!.It is immediately above the kitchen of one restaurant with the back door ( usually open) of another very busy, all day restaurant a few metres across the courtyard. There was noise from these places from about 8 am until about midnight, rising to a crescendo in the evening . This was doubly ironic given the pre -arrival information asking renters not to make a noise and disturb the neighbours. We booked this flat as it claimed to be 'quiet'.
Various minor things in the description - books , paper towels, phone , hi-fi etc were not there. Sitting room pleasantly furnished. Beds comfortably. Kitchen crockery minimal - 4 plates , 4 bowls , 4 cups and saucers etc . It meant washing up constantly, no bowls to store things in fridge etc. Just a few extra mugs , plates would make a big differencel. No room in kitchen to open up the table to seat 4 so had to set it up in the larger bedroom to eat breakfast together.
