This was one of the cheaper hotels we could find without compromising on quality and it was great! The rooms are small but cosy and spotlessly clean and the location is very handy. We were opposite a supermarket and near a beautiful bakery. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They let us check in early and even kept our bags after we checked out so we could go to the shops as we had a late train home. There was some noise from the rooms next door but this is to be expected, overall a very enjoyable experience.

Can't say enough about this hotel! Every good thing you've read about this hotel is true. And yes, the photos don't lie -- the rooms were utterly charming and the bathrooms spotless. We were very warm and comfortable, and felt very welcome. We stayed for a total of 6 nights this February, and it was just the perfect base during our winter holiday. Location was extremely accessible, just a five minutes walk to Villiers Metro. Lots of local restos (note:non-touristy), boulangeries, pharmacies, tabac shop and even a Monoprix nearby. Behind Monoprix there's a little street market going on with all kinds of amazing stuff (wine, cheese shops, local bars, clothes, flowers -- check them out!). So there were always options when we got too tired after walking around Paris. It's really a lovely neighborhood.

Rooms were really clean and beautiful and extremely cozy. We loved that they had lots of storage. I loved the pretty dresser, so useful. The beds were heavenly; every night we had a good night's sleep because the beds were so warm and had just the right firmness. We booked the balcony room, and we liked going out in the balcony from time to time to gaze out at the very French street down below. At sunrise, it's beautiful. There's a Franprix grocery right across which is open until 1 pm on Sundays. I did my last minute shopping here. Wifi was great; there are also lots of books in the lobby and breakfast area.

Breakfast was value for money. For 8 euros, you can get a big pot of coffee and and lots of warmed milk, a basket with a variety of yummy bread, a selection of spreads, and orange juice. Already filling, and a good way to start the day. The coffee, by the way, was delicious. We looked forward to that coffee every morning.

As I said, the location is perfect. It's a quiet, local street. You won't feel uncomfortable going home in the evenings as the neighborhood feels safe. We also discovered that the Villiers metro really is a very accessible station: it was just a few stops from all the major attractions. It really was so easy to go out and go back from this station.

Everyone at the hotel were kind, accommodating and helpful. We were really made to feel welcome — from the moment we checked in until the time we had to leave at 6:30 AM for our flight. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and for this we are very grateful. I think this is such an important aspect in hotel service.

Thank you so much to the kind gentlemen at reception who fixed our coffee and tea so beautifully one night when we were feeling lazy to go out. It warmed up our evening! He also helped us and saw us off when we left via taxi going to CDG. The hotel's amazing staff really made all the difference.

We will, without a doubt, stay in this hotel next time we're in Paris. It was a major factor in making our Paris stay so easy and enjoyable. Thank you, New Orient Hotel!

This hotel was a steal for Paris. We were warm, comfy and completely in love with how sweet and cute this hotel was. The pictures do not lie! 3 min walk to metro which will take you anywhere in Paris in a flash. Breakfast was yummy and rooms were clean. Wifi fast and staff informative and helpful.

This hotel was perfect for our weekend trip. It's very clean, the rooms are very comfotable, staff is so friendly, and the location couldn't be better. The buffet breakfast was worth the price. We will definitely stay in New Orient again the next time we visit Paris.

This hotel was spotlessly clean in every respect. There has been obvious investment over recent years in the furnishings and facilities, yet the rates are perfectly reasonable. Our room had a small balcony which allowed us to appreciate the magnificent apartment building across the street. True Paris. The room was warm and comfortable despite the sub zero temperatures outside. You will go a long way to get better.

Room Tip: The balcony rooms are worth the little bit extra.

The location of this hotel is very central, in a lovely area and just as importantly, close to a tube station. It is within easy access of the CDG Paris airport. There is wireless Internet throughout the hotel at no extra charge. The rooms although small, are really well arranged, decorated beautifully (including consideration to original building features) and perfect facilities. The hotel was very clean, the breakfasts are lovely & very tasty and you are within easy reach of the main sites/tube station. Definitely, recommended to anyone wanting a weekend or short break in Paris.

Room 17 for us which is a 4th floor twin room overlooking the frount of the hotel onto the main street. As said by many others, this is not a flash hotel but is very clean, with excellent customer care, very comfortable beds and represents good value and something different from the normal sterile city hotels. No noise from the road at all which was superb. Breakfast was expensive but we enjoy hotel breakfasts and thought it very pleasant. My only concern is the spiral staircase that runs through hotel. This is an old building and some of the steps are very narrow indeed. We managed fine but others guests were not so happy. The alternative is a small lift that we could just get in with 2 small cases. Not for the claustrophobic or those who are less agile as you always either had to go up or down some stairs when you arrived at your floor. It didn’t spoil it for us you just need to be aware.
