“Good Place to stay”

Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Gave us accurate and detailed information regarding getting around the city. The hotel was tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. We got a room facing the inner courtyard which turned out to be not much a view. The room was small but nicely furnished. The toilet was in a separate room from the bathroom which is a great idea if only they had a small sink in the same room.! We also had issues with the tiny elevator landing especially when you are dealing with moving large luggage out of the elevator and up or down the stairs. It was very convenient to have a grocery store across the street too!! Good location

Wonderful hotel in a great location. This was a real surprise after our lousy experience in London. The hotel was immaculately clean the bed were wonderful. The staff was over accommodating, the breakfast was great. Couldn't recommend a better place in Paris location is great near plenty of restaurants shopping and transportation. The room looked recently remodeled.

This was our first trip to Paris and the New Orient was a fantastic hotel to base ourselves from. The district was quiet but interesting. The hotel is conveniently located for the Metro (we only used on a couple of occasions as we walked everywhere during the day). The rooms are beautiful, clean and well thought out given the size. We were lucky to have a balcony which we sat on to watch the world go by/enjoy a pre and post dinner drink. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, Paris itself was amazing. We will definitely stay at the New Orient on our next visit.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a short Paris break. I booked this hotel because of the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, the comparative value for money to other Parisian hotels and I wanted to be away form the hustle and bustle of the centre but not too far out to walk to the sights. It delivered in all aspects and while we did have to do a fair bit of walking we discovered areas of Paris we would have never have discovered if we'd stayed in the centre.
The staff were very helpful and mostly spoke very good English which is helpful if you haven't spoken french since you were a teenager! They recommended some lovely local restaurants and explained directions clearly and helped us with any query we had. We had a room on the 1st floor and while there was some occasional background noise, we slept soundly. Ideally we would have liked a balcony but we spent most of the day out in the city so we wouldn't have had time to fully appreciate it.

Fabulous little hotel, tiny room but perfectly equipped and surprisingly quiet. Tastefully decorated with friendly staff . Although not terribly central I managed to walk everywhere, although it would have been perfectly easy to catch a bus or train. I loved it!

Nothing to complain about for this place. It is very clean and comfy. The service is good. Rooms are very small but given the price it was worth sacrificing some space. I would stay again for a short trip but probably no more than 3-4 nights.

This charming hotel really is as good as its reviews suggest. Our second floor room was compact but immaculate - tastefully decorated with far more character than the usual chain hotels, and a modern bath/shower room. We had a street-facing room with a small balcony and had no issues with noise. The location may not be perfect for those who want to be right amongst all the major sights (although good luck finding a hotel at this price that is!) but is very convenient for a number of metro stops and is less then 20 minutes walk to the Opera and no more than 30 minutes to the Louvre or Arc de Triomphe. We quite liked a walk through some ‘real’ Parisian streets rather than the usual tourist traps. The location is also good for a range of eating options, from simple bistros to top-end Michelin starred establishments.

But the premier attraction of the hotel is the wonderful owners and staff, all of who could have not been more welcoming or helpful. Highly recommended – we’ll look no further then next time we’re in Paris.
