“Our first trip to Paris”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2014

We found this hotel in a far from normal fashion. We were watching the French Production of Minuscule a animated cartoon using real life backgrounds which used to show before the 19:00 evening news here in Sydney. In one episode the creatures ended up in Paris proper outside this hotel. We googled it to find it was a genuine hotel in an amazingly convenient location with all the charm and individually that you do not find in the world wide chain hotels. The staff were helpful, the room included a full sized bathroom with bath. We had a balcony over the Rue De Rivoli with "French doors". A bistro next door on one side and a crepe maker on the other side. A short walk (10 minutes) across the Seine to Notre' Dame, a bus stop just outside and a Metro only a few hundred metres away. Would stay there again no worries.

Room Tip: Overlooking the street, you have to walk to the first floor to the concierge desk who can then send...

This hotel is well placed for the Marais, Notre Dam, Latin Quarter, Louvre -- and if the attraction you want is not within walking distance, the Metro Hotel de Ville is.
A stylish, old fashioned hotel with very french decor. The air conditioning worked well.
We had a room on the top floor, which was spacious and even had two balconies! I think it was the best room in the hotel, but we did get an excellent rate, and breakfast was included.
A lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: When you arrive, go to reception on the first floor and the lift will be sent down for your luggage.

This is a very antique (old) hotel with the best location ever. The €8 breakfast was a joke but there are several boulangeries (bakery's) close by! We got the room on the 6th floor which could accommodate 4 people and it was about €170 per night. Room view was awesome with a balcony and skylight. If you're looking for a Mariott this is not it but it is a nice classic hotel if you get it for the right price in the big room. Elevator felt like it was going to break but apart from that no complaints!

This hotel is what you think antiquated hotels would look like. I stayed with my daughter. We requested a balcony room at the last minute and got one. The room was tiny we could not walk past each other side by side in the available space, but it was fine. We just needed a base and somewhere to sleep. If you are looking to spend time in your room - don't come here. Also it was hot at night and we kept the French doors open for air - but that meant it was noisy! Paris does not sleep - the noise went on all night! But I would go back in a trice.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony for air or south side for quiet!

We stayed there for 2 nights. We had a room on the 5th floor with a nice view from the balcony (not so easy access). The room was quite big for Paris standards. The bathroom was ok, clean, which is important. The tv is so small m that you can hardly see anything. There was free wifi in all the hotel but the signal was very weak in our room and often couldn't use it.
The best part of the hotel is it's location. Marais area. Full of bars and restaurant near it.

Everything you need in a Paris hotel. Comfort and charm. Location and looks. Value and very nice staff. Can't wait to visit again. And again and again. All rooms are pretty and pleasant but the upper floor rooms have balconies and beautiful views, too. And if course that little elevator saves the day!

Superb decoration! It's like living in a castle, although the rooms are smaller than in a castle. Nice people who work there, very good service!
The rooms have no safetybox, but it's not a problem, the reception could keep our computer in their safe.

Room Tip: We stayed at the fourth floor, it was very quiet at night.
