Booked on HotelTonight last minute, got a room on the 3rd floor overlooking street. Room was cozy, clean, and basic. Neighborhood can't be beat - not overtouristy, and a stone's throw from Luxembourg Gardens. Staff is friendly. Tiniest elevator in the world.

PRO TIPS:

- If you book a private car to the airport through the hotel, know that they don't always accept credit cards as they advertise on the hotel desk.

- Wifi is one of the slowest I've ever experienced (circa 1998 dial up speeds) - abysmal from our 3rd floor room, only slightly better in hotel lobby.

- Don't bother with the hotel breakfast - crepe place around the corner and a bakery down the street from that.

Cute hotel, fairly small rooms, and very cramped corridors, but clean and comfy. Yummy and basic french breakfast. Very close to Jardin Du Luxembourg and lots of good resturants and quaint french bars around the corner.

Paris has many small hôtels but few as solid and friendly where you feel welcome as foreigner. Gréât restaurants and Airporr-RER / Métro nearby. Rarely you find that quality of bathrooms in this size Paris hôtels .

Hotel Chaplain Rive Gauche is a great place to regain your sanity while in crazy Paris. Every detail is taken care of at this hotel. The rooms are immaculate, the staff knowledgeable and friendly, delicious breakfast, prompt service from staff. Unfortunately, we found the local Parisian/French people of Paris outside the hotel to be rude, unfriendly, unhelpful and miserable. The city of Paris was shockingly dirty. In spite of that it was a great time due to seeing some of the famous art and architecture that Paris is famous for.

Room Tip: We were in room 51, 5th floor, which was decorated in a cool trendy yet tasteful way. An added bonu...

We stayed here for 9 nights and really enjoyed our time. The staff was nice and welcoming (spoke English and French), the hotel was clean and the room was a decent size for Paris. Only down side was the small elevator but that's manageable. Location was perfectly located to a couple Metros (Vavin, Montparnasse Bienvenue) and the Montparnasse area was situated close to our favorite park, Jardin de Luxembourg and a couple great restaurants. We like the area in that there's a local feel to it yet close in proximity to the main tourist attractions. We definitely recommend Hotel Le Chaplain and would strongly consider staying here again next time we're in Paris!

A nice and quiet hotel near the metro 12&4. Rooms are small but big enough. Nice and clean bathroom. Safteybox free of charge. The cleaning was good and receptionists were helpful and friendly. Nice little bakery close to the Monterparnasse Boulevard.

We booked online through Tingo and were really pleased with this hotel. They were incredibly accommodating and helped me book restaurant reservations before we even arrived. Very good size rooms and lift for Paris. They have great customer service and very clean rooms. The only draw back was the bed- it was really hard and the faucet in our room leaked a bit but overall this is a great find in a wonderful location. Will definitely stay here again. They eve upgraded us!
