“Cosy and well located!”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

I enjoyed my stay very much. My room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
Montparnasse is a lively area in the evenings and well located doe transport, including the bus to Charles de Gaulle.

We stayed two nights before returning home from a great two week vacation in France. We had read the reviews prior to booking so we weren't surprised when we got to the hotel. And they are pretty accurate.

It is a small hotel but clean and safe - two key things for me. The rooms are starting to look a little old. - fresh paint and fresh carpet would help. But really no complaints. Although the hair dryers are awful. Which may not be important to a lot of people but critical for some of us!

The staff are friendly and very helpful. We didn't get the breakfast as we found it expensive but given the hotel's location there is enough around that that was never a problem.

Would recommend for those visiting Paris on a budget

Room was small but cosy with a view on the Rue Delambre road. Very limited amount of electrical outlets. Advertised as free Wifi, but it was paid service at the time of the visit. There's no complimentary water in the room and the price to buy a bottled one in reception is very high. Room is quite clean.

Staff is polite and helpful, everyone spoke English.

Breakfast area is very small, a couple of table at the opposite side of the reception. Selection is European style, very tasty but also very limited.

Location offers a lot of bars nearby, 2 metro stations and Montparnasse Tower.

Good choice for short or medium duration stay if you have business nearby.

Dear Sir,
Thank you very much for having choosen Hotel Delambre during your stay in Paris.
We are very surprised about your comment concerning WIFI. The WIFI is completly free of charge, unlimited aceess, all over the hotel ( rooms and lobby ) for more than a year. More, there is a buisness corner in the lobby from wich you can print documents, also for free.
The rate for a drink ( coca-cola, mineral water , Perrier ...) is 2 Euros for a can of 33cl, wich is quiet a current price in Paris).
Feel free to contact us for more informations you may wish.
Sincerely yours.

I've been staying at the Hotel Delambre once a year for about 15 years now. It's a small hotel and the same people work there since the beginning and they make their regular customers feel at home as well as guests who have come for the first time. The hotel is clean and on an excellent street with lots and lots of charm and it's located between two metro stations (Vavin on the 4 and Edgar Quinet on the 6). There is breakfast only if you want it and free wifi. The prices are decent for Paris and especially that neighborhood. A real gem. Good for business or for pleasure.

Room Tip: There is a room with a terrace outside on an inner courtyard (good for smokers). Rooms on the fourth...

The Hotel Delambre is what I consider good bang for your buck or euro in this case. We just spent 4 nights and found it was, most importantly , clean, comfortable, and in a great location being 100 feet from a metro stop. We had a superior double on the second floor with a balcony which faced the street and was still very quiet and had a/c. The only drawback was a dispute over what I was told the breakfast would cost for just coffee and bread and what I was charged but we will see how that turns out after I get home and send an e-mail to try to resolve it.

This hotel is very clean, in a very good location and is affordable. I found the location amazing, you are in the 14th arrondisment close to the Luxembourg gardens, famous cafes and close to Metro stations. I found the room to be very clean linen wise and bathroom wise. The bathrooms are very large for Paris hotels your main sleeping area is probably larger than most Paris rooms. I thought all of the staff at the hotel were top notch, especially the morning staff and helpful.

I feel I should say though that this is not a luxury hotel, they dont advertise themselves as such, nor do they look like one. The rooms are in need of a little maintenance, peeling wallpaper etc. but my attitude about hotel rooms is this, I need them to sleep in ....you are in Paris for goodness sakes, if all you want to do is sit in a posh expensive room then dont go to Paris and these rooms are not posh. What they are , are a clean local central hotel nearby great places to eat and visit. Would I go back to this hotel again....yes..

Stayed in mid April for our honeymoon.

We had a Superior room - good enough space for luggage etc. Had a room on the highest floor - no problem with noise. Bed comfortable, bathroom clean & spacious.

Great location, plenty of cafes & restaurants nearby, walking distance to Luxembourg gardens. About 5 minutes walk to metro. Walking back to the hotel at night was no problem, felt safe.

Only downside is they don't provide coffeemakers in the room, so if you wanted hot water you'd have to go down to reception & ask. Not good for me.

Staff at front desk nice & friendly. Overall a comfortable stay. 3 1/2 stars.

Room Tip: superior room on high floor with balcony.
