My wife & I stayed 4 nights at Hotel du Jeu de Paume in August. We chose this hotel because we wanted to stay on Ile Saint-Louis. We think it is the best hotel on the island in terms of location & character, and the staff are very friendly & helpful. Don't expect a large or spacious room. We loved our view out into the little courtyard over the planter box & flowers. Our room was very clean and quiet. Staff were attentive and helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel - simply a cup of tea before heading out to explore our local area & Paris. The hotel has history, ambience and character. So much nicer to stay in this type of accommodation in Paris rather than a traditional hotel.

We stayed 3 nights to celebrate my wifes birthday. The location is perfect for exploring Paris and the service in the hotel is attentive and very friendly. Rooms are quite small (which was expected in the middle of Paris) but nicely furnished.

The hotel is convenienlty located at the quiet Ille St. Louis, steps away from Notre Dame and the metro. The hotel has character. Staff is friendly.

Breakfast is at 18 or 19 Euros. A bit steep with limited selection of good. It's better to grab a bite in the many bistros and bakery just steps away from the hotel.

My only complaint is the shower. It's a tub with a piece of glass stopping the water from splashing but the glass is not sealed to the tub so water keeps seeping through, leaving a very wet floor. The tiles around the tub are water damaged. I stopped using the big shower head and used the handheld shower head to prevent more water from seeping to the floor but was not very successful.

I rank the hotel "very good" mainly because of its character and location.

This is our fourth stay in this hotel and we still love it!! It is very well situated (ile st. Louis), clean, friendly staff, rooms a little small but it's normal in Europe. It is definitely our place to stay in Paris, hope we can keep on going many times!

Thank you dear Pollyrana,
we appreciate very much your fidelity. We hope that you will come back again. As you say, rooms are a little bit small, but they are bigger than the majority of the hotels in Paris. And they are so cute, aren't they?
Kind regards

We have been staying here for 30+ years. We come back for the location, the charm, the staff and the comfort. At this point rolling in feels like coming home. The street is lively during the day and quiet at night, the local bistros quite good and it is an easy walk or Metro ride to most of the sights in the city. Strolling down the street to a concert in Saiten Chapelle and back to a nice bistro dinner overlooking Notre Dame, but away from the tourist mobs is a lovely evening.

This hotel is in one of my favorite areas. It's a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of historic Paris. The Marais district, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter are all a pleasant stroll away. The hotel retains a lot of the original building but has updated the rooms with tasteful furniture. We stayed in room 003 which opened up onto the inner courtyard and was (obviously :) ) on the ground floor. It was close to the breakfast area too but we never heard a sound during our two nights stay. It was so quiet! Once you step out of the front door you are in the hustle and bustle of the tourists, although at night it does become less well trafficked. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but there is a great patisserie a few minutes from the hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but if I was staying for more than 2 or 3 nights, I would probably book a suite. With being an historic hotel, the room was a little small but... That's the charm too! Must add that the staff is very personable and helpful. A great choice in Paris!

I stayed here in a single, non-smoking room on a recent work trip to Paris. I had the good fortune to live close to this hotel for 6 months a few years ago and always had recommended it to visitors because it is the best quality, historic hotel on this island, Isle Saint Louis.

My personal experience was excellent: this is a relatively good value hotel and while the rooms are small, they are spotlessly clean. There is a great choice of good restaurants and public transport is very close by.

I will certainly stay here again!
