“Fantastic service”
Reviewed 14 April 2014 via mobile

Came to Paris for a long weekend. It was my first time, was bowled over at how attentive and friendly the staff were here, they couldn't do enough for you!

The room was big, the beds comfy. Shower room was clean and lovely powerful hot shower, room had a cute view over the courtyard. It was a little dated in decor but it added to it's charm and It was everything we wanted as we were out sight seeing a lot of the time! As per most hotels the mini bar is expensive so we just took our own bottle of champagne with us, but fridge was good to keep our water in at night.

Breakfast in the morning was the usual buffet style but there was a large variety and it was delicious, a perfect start to the day, and lots of tea, coffee and herbal teas provided too!

One night we ate in the hotel restaurant! I would highly recommend it!! The service was brilliant, very friendly and once again couldn't do enough for us, we tried our best to communicate in French and they did their best in English too which was far better than us!! Food was fantastic, well cooked, well presented and very tasty! Had a very pleasant meal here and helped restore faith as we had experienced a poor meal in another restaurant the night before! Slightly pricy but it was worth it!!

Perfect location to get everywhere, beautiful gardens in front of the hotel, little shops aligning the road along the entrance to the hotel were fab for last minute gifts! Can't wait to come back to Paris and discover more of it's charm and would definitely stay here again too!!

It's not a big deal to understand that this hotel is only on an economic and profit organization. The only one thing correct is the location and probably the service. Apart of that, all looks for big groups and inconsistency is the key-word. Rooms are just OK, small pretty expensive compared with the service people, who looks badly paid but wasn't complaining. Bed cracking. Take care of the doors they do not all close well; so don't be astonish to meet your neighbor in the middle of the night...
So many other hotels to choose in Paris rather than this one. Not to recommend. And nothing of Luxury!

Perfect location with walking distance to most things (at least if you like to see the town by foot). The rooms are rather 3 star, old and worn but has everything you need. Cost of breakfast 22 Euro but worth it! I would like to stay here again!

We loved this hotel and are very glad we stayed here for or first trip to Paris. It is a beautiful hotel, the location can't be beat, and the staff was very hospitable and helpful. We stayed in one of the apartments with a stunning view of the Louvre, Tuileries Garden, and the Eiffel Tower off in the distance. We could see the Eiffel sparkle at night from both of the two balconies in the apartment. Nice kitchen and small but efficient bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Also had the best tasting mojito in the bar! Some of the furniture is a bit older, but for us it only added to the ambiance of our trip. We took our three children with us and the hotel was very welcoming of them and friendly. We will definitely stay here again!

We spent 2 nights here, and found the hotel location perfect to explore Paris. The hotel staff were quite friendly and helpful as well. We rented the duplex room for a family of 4, it was spacious, but a bit tired décor.

What I liked:
-location. It is situated in the heart of city, has many important places nearby to visit in paris. There are many restaurants nearby to have good meal.
-loved the lobby area. It is huge and i spent hours sitting there reading.
-hammam and swimming pool are free to use. I used hamam bath and it was worth the experience.
-I loved the staff. They were so helpful, friendly and smiling people. They made my stay so much better.
-Lockers are available for free to use after checkout.
-basic things like towel, shampoos, soaps, wifi (but you will expect this from such high end hotel)

What i dint like:
-room was way too small. For this huge amount i would have needed spacious room. It was smaller then what we see in budget hotel (40 euros per night types).
-way tooooooo expensive restaurants and breakfast. We had omlet in breakfast in our rooms, and that was the worst omlet- no salt , no taste.
-not even one English channel on TV (how sad)
-the shower panel in the bathroom was so bad that whole bathroom floor was wet.
-couldn't sleep at all. The windows are old styles ones and thus the traffic kept us awake.

Overall, the stay was peaceful and nice because of location and staff. But room dint please me at all.

We just stayed at SJA for 6 nights and LOVED it. The location is fantastic, staff extremely friendly and accommodating, the rooms large, clean and comfortable! (the carpets are in need of replacement, tough)

Room-service at the hotel was fast, food was great and very well priced! Hotel's spa, pool and steam-room are a welcome bonus and bathrobes, slippers and plenty of towels are provided with no extra charge!

Concierge staff is very knowledgeable and helpful!

We can only recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to experience Paris!
