Paris is not cheap and this is a 4 star hotel. The breakfast room is small but breakfast ample and on a par with eating in one of the cafe's. We travelled with my 87 year old mother and my sister. My mother can no longer walk very far and used a wheeled walker the staff always on hand to help, after the first night knew who we were. The room was spacious plenty of room for 3 adults with seperate bathroom and toilet and all beautifully clean.Due to location the hop on hop off bus stop just a stones throw, the staff booked the river trip with dinner for us on the second night and when we came down to book a taxi it had already been booked for us and when we returned they asked if we had enjoyed it and the reception staff next day. This hotel is small and makes you feel that you and your enjoyment of your stay is important to them. Prices for food etc around this area are high but you are staying in an area roughly equivalent to Knightsbridge in London. We had a wonderful 3 day stay

Just got back from 4 days in Paris with my daughter (age22). We wanted to find a resonably priced hotel in a safe area with a central location. This hotel was perfect. Our room was (on Paris standards) relatively large (room #51) with two twin beds. Room and bath was spotless! Easy access to two main metro stops. Easy walk to the Louve and Notre Dame. Staff extremely helpful with directions, reservations for dinner and taxis. We arrived late at night (after 11pm) and had no problem with check in . . .room ready for us with beds turned down. We did request a room upstairs because there is some noise from the Metro that runs below. We were on the 5th floor and found the noise not a problem at all. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel (too many great cafes nearby). However, if you are a tourist (specifically American) do not eat at the cafe next door to the hotel (BRASSERIE DES TROIS QUARTIERS). They were extremely rude to us. Only gave us one menu and never came and took our order. They snickered at us the entire time we were there. We finally had to leave. Really spoiled our afternoon. Stay away from that cafe! Other than we had a fabulous time and loved the hotel!

We have just returned from a 2 day break in Paris, and miss it already!!! It was mine and my boyfriends first holiday together, and couldn't of been happier with our choice of hotel. We stayed in the V.I.P. suite and highly reccommend it to other travellers, it exceeded our expectations in size with a toilet and en-suite separate. Maid service was brilliant they came and tidied not only the routine once a day but every time we left (which we really appreciated as we managed to leave it in a tip!) The staff are really helpful and friendly, they reccommended good restaurants (we ate at the italian across the road, which was gorgeous!) also bars and clubs in the area.Unfortunantly we didn't take their advice on which clubs to go to and ended up going out near the arc de triomphe which is unbelievably expensive !! (as students we were shocked when we had to pay 40 euros for a vodka orange and beer!!) The staff also sorted out taxis for us but make sure you go down on time and don't wait until they call your room as taxis will start charging straight away as we normally were already on 10 euros when we got in.The hotel is in an ideal location for anyone who wants to go to Paris for sightseeing or shopping as we walked down to the champs elysees in 10 minutes, which is beautiful. As a young couple on our first holiday it was a perfect choice of location and we really enjoyed our stay and would go back. The only downside is that everything is expensive but that is what you will expect from being in the centre of Paris.

I highly recommend this hotel. They were extremely friendly.

The room was nice and so was the hotel. Our room smelled lovely and was so clean.

We came back every night to find our bed turned down with chocolates - Godiva. Haven't had this in a few years - usually only with 5 star hotels.

The only thing that was strange was that the shower door was on the wrong side of the bath so the floor got drenched when ever we showered. That may have just been our room and didn't effect us too much.

The location was great. Right next to Madeleine Metro and a few mins walking distance of Concorde Metro. Short walk to Rue De Rivoli which leads to the Louvre and the Seine and the Jardin du Tuileries. On our first day there we walked from the hotel to all around the left bank and The Latin Quarter then walked back again - was a very pleasant walk. So 20 to 40 mins walk away depending on how fast you walk. Everything else is a short Metro ride away.

Nice restaurants opposite the hotel and surrounded by middle to high end shops.

Staff were extremely helpful without asking and even more so when asked.

  • Liked — The location and the staff.
  • Disliked — The shower door in the wrong place.

The hotel is found just by the Madeleine .... thus a perfect location, with Madeliene metro on one side and concrode metro on the other, both less then 5 minutes.

The reeception area is small, but the service is attentive to detail and friendly. The fact that it is a small intimate hotel, extreme few rooms, makes you feel a person, not just a number. When, you return at the hotel, they know whon you are, and at times, handle the key card without asking for the room number.

Indeed, I arrived in the morning and obviously the room wasn't ready. However, when I returned in the afternoon, the luggage was already carried to my room. They just foward the key and told me the room number - fast & efficient service

The room is quite big, and modern furniture. There is also a minibar.

the only downfall is that it isn't sound prove. Thus, if you are on the lower floor, you might hear the sounds of the cars, and worse of the metro when it passes underneath the hotel.

I've been to Paris quite a number of times, and this hotel is by far tops on the list! My wife, son, daughter-in-law and I stayed 8 nights at the end of May, 2008, and had a truly wonderful experience. The combination of location (fabulous), cleanliness, comfort (by European standards, the rooms were large), and above all, the service, placed this hotel among the upper echelons. The staff went far beyond expectations in terms of warmth (sincere, not "put-on"), friendliness and serving your every need. The only recommendation I would have is to have breakfast elsewhere - it wasn't worth the 17 euros. Other than that, the hotel itself was superb in every respect, especially the quality of the staff. Martine, the manager, Chloe, Jeremy, Alain and Nicola were terrific hosts!
I would recommend this hotel to my closest family and friends without hesitation! It is difficult for me to fathom why it's ranked only #167 on Trip Advisor's list?

My wife and I spent 10 days here in May 2008. The people, room, facilities and service were outstanding. The location is superb, right downtown and within a 15 minutes walk of all the "must-see" places and shopping, with two metro stations at either end of the short street on which this hotel is located. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet at night. The people are extremely helpful, friendly and english is no problem. I'm recommending this hotel unreservedly!
