I booked this hotel 7 weeks in advance of travel... We are a family of 4 (two adults and two small kids). I emailed the hotel directly about a week before arrival to confirm the booking ... but they never replied. On arrival (around 22.30 in the evening) it turned out that the hotel is overbooked or that they had some problems and that they do not have a room for us for the first night! After about an hour's (very stressful) wait, and they still could not locate a room in another hotel for us. They finally offered us a room in this hotel, but they said that there is a technical problem with water... which meant that the carpet was SOAKING wet and only had 3 sleeping places. We were all so tired that we just accepted the room. I had to ask for a compensation or at least a complementary breakfast, and the staff did agree to the free breakfast. We did get relocated the next day, but the start of the holiday was totally ruined for us. The second room was dated (looked completely different to the modern one that we were sold on the web site) and had a building site outside. But it did have sleeping spaces for all four of us, which by that stage was sufficiently good enough.... My husband suggested that we book Novotel for this trip, as he uses them a lot for business travel. I was not impressed at all.More
