“Very comfortable hotel”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

We arrived at this hotel at 10.30am but the very friendly staff had no issue with checking us in early which was great. The area around isn't flash, but it is very central and close to the Metro. Our apartment was very clean and quiet and the kitchenette has everything in it that you could possibly need. I used the laundry in the hotel and found it quick and convenient.

One positive (a couple of the staff members) and many negatives (major nearby construction, sketchy neighborhood, mediocre nearby restaurants, poorly equipped kitchenette...) There are much better accommodations in Paris and I'd recommend you use those.

We chose the hotel because of its central location as well as the fact that it was close to the Metro.

We have great service from the staff. They were extremely helpful with any questions we had.

The room was clean, and well maintained. The kitchenette was a bonus.

Typically Paris hotel, small room with real small bathroom. Relatively close to the Metro. Big construction site nearby to revamp a shopping center. Lots of fast food joints and some "adult clubs" nearby and neighborhood is a bit sketchy in my humble opinions. Breakfast has fresh OJ but the croissants they offer was disappointing by French standard. Hotel staff is nice and helpful. Upside is that it's walking distance to the Louvre.

We recently stayed here for a week on our recent trip to Paris. It was our second stay at this hotel and once again we were perfectly happy with the choice. So convenient to have a fridge, coffee maker, etc, in the room. We ate breakfast in the room and also stored food for snacks and picnics. Our room looked out into the Fontaine des Innocents with a lovely view of Parisian rooftops and the Pompidou Center. As other reviewers have noted there is a great deal of construction going on in the area; however, the majority of the noise was during the day (when we were out exploring the city) and closing the balcony doors cut down on most of it.

A huge plus of this hotel is the location. Within easy walking distance of Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, the Pompidou Center, the Marais, etc. There are many, many restaurants and bars nearby. This is a fun, busy area at night but we did not feel unsafe. It was kind of a blast to hear the cheers from some of the area bars in the evenings, depending on how the World Cup matches were going!

Other reviewers have noted the helpfulness of the staff, and we agree 100%. Any questions we had about the local area, how to get places, etc, were cheerfully answered. Free coffee machine in the lobby is great!

Centrally located within walking distance to main sights like Lourve, Pompidou, and Notre Dame etc. serviced by a nearby metro as well.

Very pleased with the service as well. Special thanks to Hotel manager Adrian, for helping with my planned engagement at the hotel. Appreciated the kind hospitality and all the help in arranging for the flowers and champagne :)

We stayed for two nights and were very impressed with the hotel. Firstly we were welcomed by a very helpful young man who was very courteous and encouraging of my attempts to communicate in French. Our apartment, 231, was small but we knew it would be. However it was well designed. Having a balcony opening onto a leafy square was a delightful bonus. It was noisy in the square one night, we suspect a cafe had a TV showing the FIFA World Cup, but when we shut the balcony door the noise wasn't a problem. The bed was a queen or king, big anyway, and very comfortable. We each had a bedside table with individual lights. The overall lighting in the bedroom wasn't quite as bright as we would have liked, but it was as bright as many motels in Australia. There was a desk and two chairs, a safe (which we never did get to work and I have given this feedback to the hotel).
The tiled area in the kitchenette and bathroom never seemed cold in bare feet so maybe it has some underfloor heating. There was a small fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher and nice crockery and cutlery. The bathroom was quite small and the toilet is actually behind the door. The shower is over the bath and we discovered the way to make sure the bath doesn't fill during a shower is to turn the large round knob below the taps. There is an extendable washing line over the bath. Toiletries and slippers are provided as is a hair dryer.
Another two bonuses are the hot drinks machine in the lobby and the free use of umbrellas.
The lobby has several sitting areas and we used one after checkout to wait for our tour transfer to arrive. I had a hot chocolate while I was waiting.
The hotel is in a great area. There are cafés and restaurants all around and many shops. It is close to the Pompidou Centre and the Louvre. We walked from the hotel to beyond the Eiffel Tour to do an organised 3 hour bicycle tour and then walked back again afterwards. I think it took us about an hour and a half to the Eiffel Tour along the banks of the Seine and we weren't trotting, just a comfortable walking pace. We went along one bank going and back along the other, passing L'Orangerie, the Tuilleries and the Louvre on the way back, all in the rain. Yes, I know we are mad but why go underground when you can be above ground in Paris?
Almost forgot, the hotel has free wifi (pronounced "wee fee" in French).

Room Tip: We loved our apartment, 231, which had a balcony overlooking a leafy square.
