Clean, friendly staff, and the room had everything we needed, including a safe. Lots of stairs, though, and only a small lift, so could be a nuisance if you're not too mobile. Our room was at the back, looking onto a small internal courtyard, so no view and quite dark, but it was quiet - quite a lot of busy restaurants across the road at the front. The bathroom had a bath and a hand held shower attachment, which I wasn't looking forward to using, but which proved surprisingly easy and effective. Breakfast appeared expensive, at 13 Euros, but after trying a nearby cafe, we decided it was pretty good value - cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, baguette and croissants etc on offer, and excellent, unlimited, coffee.
Mabillon Metro station is literally around the corner, and the hotel is within 10 or 15 minutes walk of Notre Dame. There are lots of little restaurants around the square of roads the hotel is on - we tried four different ones and didn't have a bad meal.
We wimped out of the Metro and took a taxi to and from Gare du Nord - only 15 Euros each way for three of us, with luggage.
Would definitely consider going back if I revisit Paris.

Stairs. to enter the hotel; to get to the lift; to get to the room. Plus the lift broke down and we were on the 6th floor. One elderly lady guest looked about to expire by the third floor. It was VERY fortunate that the lift was just about working on the day we left as carrying heavy cases down 6 flights of stairs in this hotel would be very dangerous.By the way, the lift is miniscule. 1 case and 1 person only.
The room was spacious for Paris and the bathroom also, but the decor was a strange cloth-like substance stretched over the walls, making the room dark and dingy. The carpets were worn and tatty. The whole place badly needs a makeover. towels were poor quality and thin.
Beds were comfy and breakfast was okay. Your warmed-up in the microwave croissants were at least served with a smile Perhaps we were spoiled by other hotels on our holiday, but we won't be rushing back to this one.

Thank you for your comment.
The Hotel Clement is an old building, so there was not much place and some stairs... and we are happy to get a lift even if it is a small one.
We are sorry to read that it was out of order during your stay but unfortunately it happened!
When something wrong happened, we do our best to fix it as soon as possible.
We have to inform you that we never use microwave for croissants. The bakery Gérard Mulot delivers some bread and croissants each day!
The whole staff will be happy to welcome you during your next trip in Paris: we do hope so!!!!
Best Regards,

The cost of this hotel room is in line with what you get. The hotel is clean and the staff helpful and friendly. As the room was only used to sleep in it didn't matter that it was on the small side. The location is great.

Room Tip: Theere was very little noise on the top floor

This hotel is located across from Marche St Germain, in the heart of the 6e arrondissement. Prices are excellent for this area, and the amenities are fine. Rooms are small. We found out that the lower rooms are larger that the ones on the upper floors. Room #103 was a good size. Rooms are surprisingly quiet for such busy area, and we had a splendid view of St Sulpice from our room #355 even though it was too small for us.. Rooms are clean. Elevator is tiny as in so many hotels in Paris. The staff is friendly. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel because we prefer enjoying a cup of coffee in a cafe, while watching people coming and going. However, one of our party found the breakfast for $12.00 very adequate if you prefer staying in. It's not the Ritz, but if you plan on being out and about to visit this superb city, this hotel is a food value.

Room Tip: Choose lower floors. They are larger. Less stairs to climb if elevator goes out:)

If you are after a reasonably priced hotel in a fantastic central location but do not need a spacious room this is the hotel for you. We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay in June and were happy with the friendly and helpful staff; the cleanliness of the room and the facilities. The room was small but that is typical of hotels in Paris and no problem if you intend to spend most of you time in the city. The location is perfect in the bustling St Germain des Pres district with its many cafes, bars and restaurants. The Metro is very close but you are within walking distance of many of the main Paris attractions. We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.
