Wonderful boutique hotel; a series of buildings connected by a common entry and cobbled courtyard. Rooms: clean, comfortable and relatively roomy (compared to other hotels in Europe). Guests: mixture of small tour groups, business meetings/functions, airline attendants, ordinary tourists.Staff: one of the most helpful group of staff encountered during our 6 weeks in Europe starting with the wonderful doorman and reception. Location: perfect. Closest metro - turn right from Hotel to corner, left to Pharmacy (no more than 100m) and you are at Saint Sebastien Froissart. (Tip: buy10 trip tickets as they are cheaper and the 10 individual tickets may be shared) Also at this spot (i.e. outside Pharmacy/Metro) is where the (tip supported) excellent free walking tour by Discover Walks leaves everyday at 2.30pm for an hour or more of the Marais district. If you need groceries/wine/ odds and ends there are two well stocked 24/7 stores - one about 200m to right of Hotel and another in the street parallel (where Metro is). Marais is one of the few areas where shops/attractions are open on Sundays - hard to believe Paris city shops are closed on Sundays. We found excellent places to eat with the help of Hotel reception. Reception also arranged our transfer to CDG airport at the end of our stay.

We are just back from our trip to Paris. This was our first time in Paris. I loved our hotel. It was very clean, we got a quiet room. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows where comfortable. There was a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a stove top (which we didn't use). The room had 2 wine glasses, so that we bought a bottle of wine over at the next door supermarket Carrefour. The days we were there there was a Roche pharmaceutical seminar, but we didn't see them at all. The Metro station was just a few steps away, and there were 3 restaurants opened near by. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room. We were very lucky and got a room on the Devon

This is a very nice hotel. CLEAN and very nice looking. I don’t really have any complaints.
The people who work there are very nice and very helpful.
I think the only thing that I thought “hm what is that” was in the bathroom but it was nothing big at all.
I don’t like the shower set up – but that is a European thing (as I go every summer since I was a kid) – that’s not the hotel.
It is high to get into and then has that little pcs of glass that barley keeps water in – You just have to be careful (again that is all over Europe).
It has a nice bar, lovely waiting area. The room spacious. We had more than enough room. We were three females. The price was good. We had a nice kitchenette area … no complaints there either. Plenty of room to get ready and spread out – GREAT set up if you are traveling with children!

My only small issues (As I am returning to Paris in July but staying somewhere else)
There is a “manly” grudge like soccer pub across the street so it was loud at night till the wee hours. I didn’t really care bc I am from NYC. Some people pay not like that but just ask for a room that isn’t facing the street.

There was one restaurant on that street (at the beginning of the street) which I MUST tell you had prob the BEST burger I have had in a LONG time (and the owner was so nice and very very helpful with ordering) BUT that’s it.

We did find one cafe at night (we just roamed around) that was a bit of a walk - at night - young crowd - delish food!

No cute cafes, no place to really shop – you have to WALK. My biggest issue is that we had to cab EVERY WHERE. That is the ONLY reason I am not staying there again. I want to be more centrally located where I can walk to mostly everything. Aside from that, I would say go ahead and book this hotel. You won’t be sorry and if there is something you have an issue with, the front desk is quick to help you 

Room Tip: Look online and figure out what you want to see when you are in Paris. The things I wanted to see mi...

Dear ana_bella10543,

Thank you very much for choosing Les Jardins du Marais for your recent visit in Paris and for taking the time to share your kind comment. However, it is a pity that you did not enjoy Le Marais neighborhood, so famous for its night life and good restaurants.
We sincerely hope that you will give us a second chance, our reception team will be happy to give you some nice adresses.

Stayed for nor night only but hotel and room very clean and staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Didn't eat here but the buffet looked amazing. The hotel is in a side street with a lovely courtyard so very quite and peaceful.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 70 in the Eiffel block.

We went to Paris for a few days to celebrate a 30th wedding anniversary.

Executive room was spacious and comfortable, with a small balcony indirectly overlooking the courtyard garden. Nice soft robes provided and pleasant décor with a nod to Art Deco..

Reception staff were generally helpful and pleasant, booking taxis etc.

The extra 'romantic' package that we pre-booked (via the Hotel chain website) of fruit, biscuits & champagne (turned out to be Pommery rosé) and (a mortifyingly embarrassing but nonetheless cheerful!) rose petal heart was in place to greet us.

The other pre-booked package was a 3-course dinner in the restaurant on the first night, where I was surprised to find we were given absolutely no choice, just told what the meal would be. Fortunately it suited us, but it felt a bit perfunctory: however the food itself was good and well presented.

On the Sunday evening we were too tired to go far afield after doing serious "touristing", so decided to eat in the hotel, having looked at the main menu at the restaurant entrance and rather fancying a couple of the dishes. I spoke to the restaurant staff to reserve a table for later on and said that we knew we would both like the veal from the à la carte menu, as we were eating quite late so thought we'd pre-book it to make sure! When we got to the restaurant, we were given the snack menu and offered burgers or salad, which wasn't quite the special event we'd anticipated! We went next door to the brasserie as it was a bit late to start looking round for somewhere else.
To have the full menu out on show by the restaurant entrance and no sign warning that it wasn't actually on offer that evening is not really acceptable. What was much more annoying was the fact that the restaurant staff clearly didn't listen to our request for the main menu dish when he could have alerted us at that point and we could have made other plans. A closed evening is to be anticipated at a small family business but I do expect full service in this sort of hotel. The website makes no reference to a limited menu availability.

We had the hotel breakfast on one morning; whilst not cheap, it was very good in terms of choice and quality.

One irritation for us caffeine addicts- coffee in the hospitality tray in the room wasn't replenished automatically, or even when we left a note requesting some!

The advertised free internet was a bit hit and miss and very slow. I don't think they clocked the group loyalty card I waved on booking in, which I think should have provided the faster wireless access, but to be fair, I didn't pursue the issue.

In summary, a very pleasant setting with the courtyard garden, handy location, pleasant staff but not quite up to snuff with the finer details, given the star rating and prices.

Room Tip: We had an executive room with balcony on 3rd floor overlooking the courtyard, no problems with noise...

This place smells as good as it looks. Comfortable, delightful, delicious and beautifully placed for jaunting around Paris. The Metro is just around the corner and there are great places to eat just next door.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back are quieter.
