Stayed 4 nights in May for the location in St.Germain in a diplomatic area. Close to all the sites. Eiffel tower was 20 mins walk away and 10 to the Metro. We also used a 2 day pass of the double decker bus tours to get from site to site. Handy in the rain also. Rooms were small and minimal but clean, quiet and sufficient. Room 44 is street facing and quiet. No fridge or internet in rooms (6E per hour). TV was mostly in french bar the BBC, so didn't watch any and who has time for TV in Paris? Beds were typically hard but a welcome site at night. Safe in the room required the barrel from reception at 80E deposit in case we lost the key. Elevator was slow and quicker to take the stairs. Essential for the luggage though. Bathroom is tiny but modern enough. Breakfast was the basic juices with breads, crepes, fresh fruit, yogurt and croissants.

Room Tip: Front room seemed quiet and had shutters which made it very dark.

I stayed here for one week and it was a good experience. The staff spoke English and entertained my attempts at French. The room was clean and large. The television did not have a lot of channels so we were stuck with a couple of BBC stations, but being in Paris, there isn't much time for TV. The location is very good. A short walk to several metro stops, and an easy walk to visit Les Invalides and many other sights/areas. The neighborhood is very safe. I think some of the higher ranked people in the government live in the area, so we could see police and security on some of the street corners. Convenient restaurants and bakeries are in the neighborhood. You're also not far from the Rue De Sevres and Le Bon Marche, one of the city's large department stores which also has an excellent food hall/department. The beignets (donuts in the shape of a pretzel) are delicious! I highly recommend this hotel.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It's in a perfect location, with easy access to the major sites, but when you walk out the door you feel that you're in a real neighborhood, with local groceries, cafes, bakeries... it's all right there. The service as the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. We loved it.

We had a great experience here. The beds were firm, the rooms much larger than normal. We did upgrade to fit the two of us. Friendly, knowledgeable multilingual staff. Tasteful, pleasant decor, great bathroom.

We stayed here for 4 nights and travelled via eurostar, the hotel was in an excellent location for this, as it was just a short metro ride. The nearest metro is vaneau, which is about an 8 minute walk. As for attractions the hotel is approx 25 mins from the Eiffel Tower

The staff were helpful, polite and spoke good english, we asked many times for directions to attractions and they were happy to help. We didn't have the breakfast as we thought €13 was expensive, instead we went to a local supermarket & bought a bag of croissants.

Area is quiet and safe, there were a few beggers although they were harmless and seemed to be all over Paris. We had a room facing the back of the hotel on the first floor, which was quiet and had a pleasant view of the courtyard.

Overall very happy & would go back

As stated in my previous review of this hotel on returning to Paris we would not hesitate to stay here again, and we did. We spent a very enjoyable three nights here with our daughter, only this time we decided to upgrade to a suite for very little extra. We were not disappointed. The rooms were once more very clean, well kept and spacious. The staff could not be more helpful or courteous. My daughter speaks very good French which always helps and we do our best out of courtesy to the French people but we were addressed in perfect English by the hotel reception staff. For a three star hotel I cannot fault the Hotel de Suede and if we return to Paris in the future we would not look to stay elsewhere. We remain very happy with our choice of Hotel and Location for a comfortable, relaxing cultural break.
