Stayed two nights at the Novotel at Gare de Lyon. If you leave the station by the side exit (via Hall 2) you will immediately find the hotel.
Our room was comfortable. Unusual shower in that, at first, the glass wall between the shower and the bedroom is clear, but at the press of the button becomes opaque. Tea / Coffee making facilities, fridge and safe in room.
Swimming pool is small and deep. Most of the pool is 2.1m deep and I was soon out of my depth.
Table football available in reception area, there also had internet terminals and a children’s area.
Area best avoided after dark (hotel does employee a security guard). Too many drunks and people sleeping rough. Area by one door to reception also smelt strongly of urine.More
