This is the second hotel/apartment on our holiday around UK and Europe. The room was a little worn but clean and were of a very good size (really good for Paris). Our apartment was on the 6th floor and had a balcony the went from the lounge to the bedroom and had a nice view down a tree lined street. While we were there I saw four different staff on the front desk. The first lady was a complete cow, the second lady was nice, but hopeless if you needed help with anything. Our room was missing the lan cable for wired internet (they don't have wifi) we ask the first lady for one, but she was soo rude and wouldnt help. The second was really nice and said she'd get the "IT" guy to sort it in the morning. When we got back to the room the night of the next day, still no cable. Unfortunately the first lady was on, we checked with her, but she was really rude again and also said the "IT" guy doesn't work that day and they have no spare cables. I bought one the next morning from a small PC store 5mins down the road. The other two guys that worked the rest of the days were very helpful. There are washers and dryers on the ground floor guests can use, but you have to pay to use them. The area around the apartments is chocka full of restaurants and cafes. There is a small supermarket on the other side of the road and a few doors down. Metro is 1min walk, or you can walk to Gare de Lyon Station in about 15mins, if you take that option in the mornings, turn left as you walk out of the apartments, cross the road and at the wee round about at the end of the block take the 2nd street on the right and about half way down on the right is a great little bakery, at the end of that street then turn left and the station is about 3 more blocks from there. We were there for 4 nights near the start of July 2012 in a 1 Bedroom Apartment.

Very good location, near metro, supermarket, coffe shop, etc. Rooms are simple but clean and confortable. We had the chance to be on the top floor with a large balcony to see the sunset. Wifi is included. Surrounded by a few very good restaurants. Good choice for family stay.

Room Tip: top floor on the street with large balcony to see the sunset

The family went on a trip to Paris and sis was the one that booked this hotel.I was pleasantly surprised with first it's location within walking distance of the Gare' De Lyon station and the Bastille.Upon arriving the hotel clerk booked us all in and then realized something was a miss as they had messed up and gave our rooms away. What happened next was some careful thought by the clerk and moving us from a studio to a 2 bedroom suite on the first floor.
The room was very spacious with a full kitchen.Had problems with the internet and they tracked it down to the box and cable so well never got the inroom working as we were gone before the ISP showed up to fix it.With many great restaurants in the area a food markets and Metro less than 2 blocks away it was great.Walked back from Eiffel tower experiancing Paris the way it should be one side walk cafe to the next.
Would I stay here again yes.

Spent a week here in a studio. Area and hotel are OK.
We did not stay in a renovated room or pay for club class upgrade.
Free coffee and tea in the morning. Espresso is from an automatic machine so it is not great. Free internet, in room need to use a supplied ethernet cable. Wifi in lobby. Nice staff.
Hot plate and small dishwasher for small meals. Fridge.
Laundromat next door (do not use in house facility), grocery across the street, a few restaurants nearby. Best is the L'Aubergeade across the street. We ate their often. Would NOT recommend the La Nouvelle Epoque next door. Did not try others in the area. Two chocolate stores on street but did not try.
Bakeries north and south of the hotel are fine.
We bought 10 packet metro booklets and the Reuilly entrance is half a block away.
Nice hotel if price is good. For areas I think there are better and we prefer Tuilieries area based on a prior trip but price is higher there.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel as we find the location is really good, there are supermarkets nearby, the metro and we feel safe in the area. The rooms are spacious and there is a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and we were able to eat in most evenings. The only drawback is there is no air-conditioning, having said that we experienced really hot weather this time (May 2012) and found that the room was cool and we were not uncomfortable in any way. We were disappointed that we had to remind reception a few times before our room was cleaned. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and in particular a young man called Fasiya. We would stay again in the future.

Our initial room when we checked it left a lot to be desired. Very worn out, toliet in a separate room around the corner form the sink and shower (yuck). We have stayed in worse and would have toughed it out. We inquired with the extremely helpful front desk if there was a preferred location for guests to smoke. Found out they had rooms with balconies. The staff was very willing to change us and we ended up with a courtyard room that had been renovated. Much better! The court yard was really nice and private and a good unwind spot, but some chairs/picnic table would be nice. Once all room are redone it will be a better place to stay.
All of the front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Location was great. The Metro station is around the corner, but we did walk to city center a couple of times. The neighbourhood was very quite at night
Lots of places to eat around, but we stuck with the 3 on our street. The best was actually the one the front desk told us was not very good. Decent little grocery store with the basics right across the street.
Room was small and the beds were very hard (spoiled North Americans that we are), but I don't think anyone goes to Paris to hang out in their rooms and it was a good place to sleep.

Room Tip: Ask for the courtyard, very secure and feels like you have a backyard.

I did not like our apartment at all, in fact I think it quite destroyed our Paris experience. Yes it is close to the Metro and nice restaurants, but my first impression on arriving off the metro and walking into the street was of litter everywhere and trashed up cars parked on the street that are obviously never moved.

Something had happened in the elevators the day we arrived- they were filthy and stank. Stuff was sprayed all over the walls and the floors were dripping wet.

The 1 bedroom apartment looked nothing like the photos used to promote the hotel. Paint is peeling off the walls in every room, holes in walls, noisy ventilation noisily rattling away all night. Sofa bed was uncomfortable. Vanity basin drain blocked and kept backing up.

The kitchenette was not bad though, quite well equiped. Staff were also friendly and helpful.
