“Great quality”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

It was very clean and the shower was so good. Even though the room was so small and the bathroom as well, it was very cozy. The breakfast didn't have much variety, the food was good enough. I recommend it for a short stay.

Apart from those things above, the bathroom and bedroom were very clean and comfy. Since my sister and I didn't carry much with us, we found the place to be quite comfy. When it comes to having warm drinks especially at night, we found out only too late that there's no coffee/tea facilities in the room, just a single bottle of Evian per day and the rest, you grab it from a common area on the ground floor - after 10pm, the staff keeps everything!

The hotel is close to the metro station which takes you into the city easily. Use Line 14 as it's new and relatively safe (for now). Bercy Village is within walking distance and there is also Parc de Bercy, a very pretty park (I'm calling it so because there's no sand flying around like other parks in Paris!)

Room Tip: Go early for breakfast or skip it entirely. Breakfast will be the same thing each morning throughout...

The one saving grace of this hotel was a good quality and comfortable bed. Other than that, the room was tiny, there was only one small drawer between two of us and only two hangers each. Breakfast was mayhem, unless you went very early or very late. The basics (bowls, spoons etc) almost always ran out and there was no other alternative juice to orange juice, which my Mother is allergic to. Evening meals were woeful but I believe this to be more of an issue with the agreement set up between our (Shearings) coach tour operator rather than the hotel themselves. Not once were we served a vegetable with the main meal (other than potatoes). I would not want to travel with Shearings again, nor would I return to this hotel.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your commentary which help us to improve our service.
I'm really sorry if your stay didn't meet your expectations.
All dishes were previously choosen by your tour operator so we couldn't change it anymore.
Concerning fruit juice, we also offer exotical and apple juice during breakfast. Maybe we should have told you upon arrival at the restaurant so your mother should have enjoy it !
Even if your stay was disappointing, I hope you will give us another chance to give your all satisfaction.

Best regards

This was the first time Shearings Coach holidays had used this hotel because of its good location. Our room (no. 142) was incredibly small. There was nowhere to store our suitcases and there were 5 hangers in the minute wardrobe. There were no tea making facilities in the room. It was a good job I am thin as the space to get out of bed on one side was extremely narrow. On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable.
Breakfast was mayhem! There were so many people trying to serve themselves at 2 small "stations" They kept running out of cereal bowls, spoons etc.
The evening meal was a miserable affair! The starters weren't too bad but the mains were dreadful! e.g. duck leg without any sauce, and a small thin circular amount of mashed potato. That was it! What happened to French cuisine?
I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

We have chosen this hotel because we always prefered to be in an ibis hotel.
We came in the hotel bevor the check-in and my husband wanted to refresh his french language but it wasn't accepted cause it was too slow for them......
We came later to do the check-in and left the luggage there.
After the check-in at 12, we went to our room. It was not possible to program the safe, there were no hooks to hang up the jackets and it is not possible to opem the window (only 3cm maybe....).
Breakfast was average... Only one choice of cheese and ham (too thick cut), coffee wasn't so bad - after two days we didn't know what to eat...
We wanted to drink something at our room, so we asked for glasses but we didn't get any. Only plastic cups.... The vending machine didn't work..
And the prices are high...but it's normal in Paris.
What I really liked, is a little lounge with free coffee and tea.

All in all it was ok but we won't come here the next one..

The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station on lines 6 and 14, the Parc de Bercy and Bercy Village ( Small restaurants and boutiques ).
For a short stay it is recommended.
The rooms are small but clean and adequate if you do not have too much luggage.
For breakfast you can choose between different types of bread and pastries, coffee, tea , jam , nutella , ham and cheese, and cereals, if you are lucky has obtained scrambled eggs and sausages.
During our stay, larger groups of students were present , so that the free wireless internet was relatively overloaded.
During the winter months the air conditioning is turned off , but you can ask that the locking of the window is opened , that you can ventilate and cool the room. (unfortunately does not always work , with us the lock was closed daily by the cleaning staff and we had to again ask at the reception ) .
The staff speaks English and French and is for France surprisingly friendly and helpful.
On departure day is also a luggage storage room , each piece of luggage gets a tag with number , which is checked when picking up
