“Friendly staff and good location”
Reviewed 4 September 2013 via mobile

It was in walking distance to just about everything. The hotel staff where excellent. With all the bad reports about the French. I found the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms where small but you only sleep there. There is a to die for bakery just around the corner and a supermarket at the end of the street so overall I would come back and stay for sure.

I was really pleased when i arrived at the hotel to find it in such a good location which i had hoped for, we was greeted by lovely friendly and helpful staff. The room was upgraded to one with a roof terrace at no extra cost, this was done with out even asking for it i can only imagine it was because we was early. several reviews i read before booking said the rooms were small which to one degree they are however still very comfortable, and at the end of the your going to be out exploring most of the time. i would 100% go back here.

Obviously everybody is entitled to their own opinion but my fiance and I can't see any validity in some of the lesser reviews. We arrived through the metro station Pereire and it took us no more than 5 minutes to get to the hotel (caution - if you are looking for the "Waldorf" the outside of the hotel is actually signed as "Wetside"). We were greeted by a friendly staff member and shown immediately to our room.
The room size is nothing to sherk at, its certainly not tiny, we found it more than adequate for our needs. Breakfast was included for us and offered both continental and hot parts (bacon, sausage and egg).
Many reviews have complained about it being far away from the Arc de Triomphe but if you have walked more than 10 minutes you are either walking very slowly or you have got lost, it is almost at the end of the road with great metro links.
We really did enjoy this hotel and we thought that the negative reviews aren't warranted completely, we may have seen the hotel on a good day, but we must have seen it on 5 consecutive very good days.

Room Tip: A room on the road is actually very quiet

Our stay was from 17th. to 23rd. August, 2013. We had room 801 which is located on the top floor and has a terrace/balcony and was superb. It has views of the surrounding roof tops and, from the corner of the balcony you also have a view of the Eiffel Tower. Obviously, we had to pay a supplement for this room but, it was well worth the extra money we paid. The only downside we found with the room was that there are no tea/coffee making facilities but it does have a mini bar. The Hotel is situated on a quite street but within very easy reach of a supermarket and plenty of street Cafes along Avenue Neil and MacMahon which leads to the Arc de Triomphe (about 10 minutes walk from the Hotel). We did not have breakfast at the Hotel as we preferred to find a street Cafe and watch "the world go by".
The Hotel itself was well presented and we received a warm welcome upon our arrival. The lift is small but, that did not matter as our suitcases were immediately taken to our room for us. The Spa was small but, we did make use of both the pool and sauna.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Hotel which was also enhanced by the excellent reception team: Nisreen, Melodie, Laurent and Maddy as nothing was too much trouble for them and they always greeted us with genuine happy smiles and they made sure we had a very pleasant stay at their Hotel.
In conclusion, we did not experience any of the other Hotel rooms so, going purely from the perspective of the room we had and the excellent service we received, we would definatley recommend this Hotel. Tito & Frankie Martire

I stayed at this hotel at the end of July for 3 nights.
Negatives: building works at the house next door meant every morning there was a lot of noise. The Manager offered to move us but as it was day 2 when we realised it would be every morning at 8am we decided we would put up with it. It would have been better if we had been informed on our arrival. I thought there were areas in corridors that could have been cleaner but the room was fine. There are no tea/coffee in the rooms. Don't go specifically for the spa as its a tiny pool with a sauna.
Positives: convenient location close to the Arc de Triomphe (10 mins walk). Staff are excellent. Continental breakfast is adequate which includes small sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs. Our room was fine but I know there were smaller rooms. Request a street view as close to the top floor as possible. Despite the few negatives I would stay at this hotel again as it is good value.

The first thing you notice about the hotel is the staff...always polite and helpful, near-perfect English and always happy to go the extra mile. Whilst the hotel and the rooms are confined by their size, everything is well-laid out and always clean and tidy. Breakfast was above average for continental standards!

I didn't pay, so I can't judge the hotel against the price, but assuming the rooms are not stupidly priced I would definitely consider it for a future trip to Paris. It's located about a 10 min walk from the Arc De Triomphe (and within easy reach of three metro stops).

I booked this hotel via Hotwire on a last minute 4 night trip to Paris enroute home to Canada. I was initially excited that they advertised as the "Waldorf" but it is NOT the W we know in North America. This is a very small boutique hotel with far less than 4 star amenities. They do not have a bar or restaurant, only a continental breakfast that was adequate and well stocked, served 7-10:30am. Disturbing though that as soon as the breakfast service was over, you were not even allowed to remain seated at the table just adjacent to the very small seating area called a 'lounge' at the front of the hotel.

The rooms are small as to be expected in Paris but the bathroom was TINY!! Shower had good water pressure if you could fit into it so if you are overweight by any more than 20 lbs an average room will not suit you and its likely you wouldn't even be able to use the toilet.

My room was spotless and housekeeping was attentively done daily but the carpets throughout this hotel are in desperate need of replacement due to excessive wear and soiling.

While advertised as "Arc de Triophe" this hotel is about a 15 minute walk down confusing side streets and taxi drivers rarely know where to go to find it. Having recently been taken over and now called "Westside" not "Waldorf" any longer, there is NO signage indicating the hotel from the outside making locating it even more of a challenge. Bars and restaurants in this neighborhood are next to non-existent so if you just need a place to lay your head it will do but otherwise book something more centrally. Regular rates are around $300/night and you can certainly find a good Hilton for that in this city and have far more amenities available to you.

Pool is more like an over sized bath tub and too cool, no hot tub and no real spa services available (massage, nails etc..) - just a sauna. Don't be fooled by over advertising on this property. A decent deal through Hotwire at $125/night but wouldn't pay $200/night, let alone $300!
